Vacum is better and after you get out from dust you can apply a lubricant contact cleaner over switches volumes-buttons-sockets(where you insert your jacks)-bring the cleaner from near radio shack.

How To Clean Laptop Screen With Household Products?

<p><b>Cloth</b> - Only use a 100%-cotton cloth that is soft and absorbent, either an old T-shirt, sock, or Turkish towel. Make sure you're not using a cotton/polyester blend that contains stiff filaments which can scratch an LCD's surface.<br /> <p><b>Note:</b> Paper towel or facial tissue should never be used because they contain wood fibers, also hazardous to LCDs, and definitely are not how to clean a laptop screen. Also remember to never use a dry cloth on your LCD monitor. Dust particles moved around with even the softest cloth could create scratches.<br /> <p><b>Liquid</b> - The best way to get a really clean laptop screen is to use isopropyl alcohol, containing 91% pure alcohol, with 9% de-ionized water, readily available at any drugstore or supermarket. It's perfectly safe for use on electronic equipment and LCD screens because it evaporates quickly and does not leave a residue. The lesser strength isopropyl alcohol 70% is used primarily for massage and muscle pain.<br /> <p>A 1:1 solution of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol 91% can be used to clean a laptop screen that is not heavily dusty or soiled with greasy fingerprints. Vinegar and distilled water in a 1:1 solution can also be used for light cleaning.<br /> <p>Certain household liquids should never be used on LCD's. These include ammonia and tap or mineral water, which leave permanent white spots and streaks. Household window cleaners should be avoided because they might contain ammonia, or other harmful chemicals which also can cause irreparable damage.<br /> <p>Another caution is to never spray a solution directly onto an LCD. Always spray the liquid on a cloth, only enough to moisten it slightly, and then apply to the screen in gentle, counter-clockwise motions.<br /> <p><b>How To Clean Laptop Screen With Special Cleaners?</b><br /> <p><b>Kits</b> - Micro-fiber cloths and anti-static solutions are packaged together and sold at office supply or electronics stores. The special solution leaves a slight film that protects a clean laptop screen, repels dust and smudges, and keeps it clean longer. Certain solutions cause streaking, so it's best to do a little research before investing in this method.<br /> <p><b>Micro-fiber</b> cloths can be purchased separately and used with isopropyl alcohol 91%, and/or distilled water. Whether using the complete kit or the cloths alone, make sure the packaging designates the product is ''safe for laptops and LCD screens."<br /> <p><b>Anti-Static Cloths</b> - Many computer manufacturers, when asked how to clean a laptop screen, recommend anti-static cloths made specifically for cleaning without liquid of any kind. Even greasy fingerprints can be buffed off using these cloths, readily available at electronics or office supply stores.<br /> <p>Similar cloths are made for cleaning camera or eyeglass lenses, and these can be found at any drugstore, optometrist or camera shop. I have the first digital rebel and as of lately my images are not as crisp as they used to be. Im having this issue even when I use a tripod...I also use auto focus and the images are not as...

when you take the lens off .. there is a mirror and the CCD array ... those can get dusty or if anyone smokes around the camera then that gets on these parts .. you can dust the mirror and CCD behind with a soft clean camel hair brush but a good cleaning should be done by a pro .. thats a "front surface mirror" .. that is, the mirror surface is not protected by glass the way mirrors normally are .. so it scratches very easy ... there are special techniques for cleaning that must be learned before attempting a deep cleaning .. the back side of the lens also may have a smoky coating that has to be cleaned .. again a pro is best but you can use a lens cleaning cloth and solution .. (dont spray the solution into the lens . only on the cloth .. with every thing clean your camera should be back to like new performance ..

How to clean a rear projection tv INSIDE

This is what I did and it worked great-
I have a 60" Phillips bigscreen that has been getting dusty and actually had a spider inside the tv for about 6 yrs. This bothered me a lot until I got the guts to unscrew the back covering (the large dark grey turtle shell type plastic cover). It came off very easily.
1. I made sure the tv was unplugged
2. once inside I could see all components easily
3. I rolled it outside onto my deck
4. I used my leaf blower to instantly remove all the clumps of dust and webs followed by a once over with my swiffer
5. I then used a soft glasses cleaner cloth to fine clean each of the 3 colored lenses
6. a damp soft cloth was used to clean mirror
7. replace the back cover and go! It made a huge difference in picture quality

I've got to be honest...(in response to your question)

The need to be cleaned as much as you play them. If you play them on a daily basis, I would suggest cleaning the pitch faders at least once a month. Also, the studio environment is also a factor. Is it a dusty place, or relatively clean?

You can clean the faders out with an air can, and some Deoxit or other contact cleaner. DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL.

There are 2 was to clean, blow the air can inside the fader, removing any debris, then spraying your contact cleaner, then spray air again.

Or, you can take the turntable apart, take the pitch control apart, and clean the contact fader inside. Desoldering is required for this. But it's a more thorough cleaning.

Helpful tips can be found here: www.djproaudio.com/Help

Or, you can just buy a new fader, and install <-- easiest method!
