This is another way of describing Component Video (Y usually a green colored connection, Pr usually color coded red, Pb usually blue). The device you want to hook up to the Emerson must have a component output.

The YPrPb needs three cables and does the video (picture). You will still need 2 cables for the audio (sound) and the they will be a white and red normally. Don't mix up the red for the video with the red for the audio. If you do, the right speaker will have noise and the picture will be bad or gone. If so, switch them so the are correct and you should be fine.

Component video can handle HD.

1998 73" Mitsu diamond the RBG/HV Im trying to

I'm not sure that the set can handle the speed, but make sure that the sync pulse is on the green when you make the connection. Also, you must use the component input not the composite. IF hte picture ends up being purple, you will need ot change the set from YPrPb to RBG as well.

Good luck,

Ws 65611 will not play HD channels. Screen gets fuzzy like it is trying to focus, then converts to blue screen that states "Check connections or power. The connections for RGBHV or YPrPb invalid" I have...

This model only has one HD input---it has two sets of component inputs on the back and one is marked 480/1080----in the menu it will be the DTV input.

Check to make sure you are not connected to the other component input.

Let me know what happens and let me know exactly where you are connected and what are using for signal.

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Why is my projector suddenly projecting pink?

Is it entirely pink or does everything have a purplish tint? Check the settings. If you are connected using component or VGA, make sure that the unit is set to RGB rather than YPrPb.

Update this with what you find.

Thanks,
Dan

When using component as the input, the profector is having a problem processing the picture. It is in purple and green bands with a wave moving across the screen. How do I fix this?

This projector should have 2 modes for component input, RGB and YPrPb. Make sure that you are in the correct mode. I suspect that the projector is expecting YPrPb and you are sending RGB.

Check that first and update this with what you find.

Cant get 1080i

This TV came out in 1999 and the HDTV standards wern't established yet. Just make sure you are using the DTV YpRpb inputs and not the DVD YpRpb inputs on the back of the set. Leave the menu setting at 480p and on the :"ASSIGN INPUT" sub menu make sure "DTV" is set to YpRpb. Even then it may not be compatible with a PS3 at 1080i.
