Question about Hitachi 55VS69 55" Projection HDTV
I had this same problem over the summer, I had my TV for two years before it went out. You need a new lamp. The lamp is not hard to replace on your own. However, you MUST make sure that you do not touch the lamp (the bulb part) in anyway. If you do your new lamp will not last as long. You can order the lamps online. They range anywhere from 150-300 dollars online. However, I found a TV repair company in my city that only charged me 100.00 for the lamp and they told me If I took out the box that holds the lamp they would replace the lamp for me. They also gave me a 1 yr warrantee on the lamp. All I had to do was un-screw the box from the back of the TV take the box to the TV repair company and I placed the box back into my TV. My TV works. While going through this process, I learned that these lamps go out all the time, the more you watch the TV the more often you'll replace the lamp. I was told from the repair company it could be as often as every year. The Lamp does have MURCURY in it so if you replace the lamp on your own be careful and have it recycled. If you live in SLC UT the repair company I went though was Village TV Sales and Service.

The temp light will blink if the fan stops turning. The lamp light will blink if the lamp door is not closed completely. Check to be sure that the fan is turning and that the vent area is clean. Also, double check to be sure that the lamp access door is completely closed. There are safety interlock switches that will prevent the set from working if these access areas are open.
If the fan turns freely and the area is clear, try replacing the lamp. A bad lamp can sometimes cause odd symptoms.

If you bought the TV last year and is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty.
I would suggest to call the vendor or manufacturer if that is your case.
If no warranty, you have to replace the lamp and possibly the color wheel because of the Buzzing sound but you will only know that until the lamp is replace.
