My ridge is a side by side and the friser is working but not the fridg side

Yo Arron, move the fridge away from the wall far enough to set a box/window fan behind it on the floor with the fan blowing air under the ridge. Turn fridge on or plug it in, if after a little while the fridge does come on, with the fan blowing across the coils underneath, then you just need replace the little fan that's under the back rear of fridge. This test setup works every time.

turn your control knob all the way off you will feel a click just after 0that is your reset. if that dont work then turn your ridge of at the mainand pull out the plug leave out for 15min then plug it back on.turn your control knob inside the fridge till you hear it clik on if it worksset your knob on 2 in winter 3 summer hope this helps

OK, First let us check the compressor to see if running or trying to start. Pull away from wall and unplug from wall. Remove lower cover and feel the compressor top of the to see if too hot to hold hand there, cool or warm. look inside freezer and tell me if ice is building on rear wall. Answer that and I will be able to tell you what we need to do, Thanks, Sea Breeze

I would guess that the condenser fan isn't running. It's underneath the fridge behind the cardboard cover on the back. It should be running when the compressor runs. You can place your own fan on the floor blowing under the fridge till you get it fixed.

my Matytag msd2456dew fridge fan is running, no ice bulid up on coils in freezer section, but no cold air to freeze anything in freezer section or cold air in fridge section. what can be the problem?

When the temperature indicator flashes indicate then the temperature has ridge a level lower the the set temperature for example if you set you fridge side to 36 degree and and has fail to stop from getting cooler and has ridge 34 degree. some times those friges fail to calibrate them self tray by unplugging you dirge for 30 seconds and replug it then the board will auto calibrate for the next 24 hours If this problem comes back again that meas than your defrost element on the fridge side is bad.

Check the controls to see that it is set for cold. But I'm sure you already did this. There could be an electrical part that failed during the move. This would not be too expensive to repair, but this is not very likely. It might be worth $50 to have it diagnosed.
More likely, the compressor lost its oil and will not turn any more. Or, something caused a Freon leak, and there's no coolant left. The repair could be as much as $500 - $800. Unless your fridge is worth more than $1000, plan to get another fridge.
