When you bought the droppix label you were given a key. The version you now have is just the trial version. If you cannot find the key a simple email to the seller with your valid information stating time of purchase along with your personal details should work fine.Good Luck.

RESTORING A DELL COMPUTER OR LAPTOP BACK TO AS NEW CONDITION. If you do not...

RESTORING A DELL COMPUTER OR LAPTOP BACK TO AS NEW CONDITION.

If you do not have a RECOVERY CD then contact Dell to purchase this Recovery CD for your model Dell computer or laptop.
Boot up using the Recovery CD and follow the instructions.

The other way is to re-install Windows using a Windows installation CD; it must match the Windows version on the Windows Product Code label on the bottom of your laptop or on the side or back of the desktop computer.

Boot up using the Windows installation CD and follow the instructions.
Next install all of the Dell's computer/laptop device drives.
Next install the Windows service packs (SP2 & SP3 for XP, SP1 & SP2 for Vista)
Next Activate Windows via the Internet or by phone.
Next install all your programs - Microsoft Office, anti-virus etc.
Next click on Start - Programs - Windows Update (for the latest updates).
Next copy your data back to the computer/laptop.

The device drivers for your model computer/laptop can be downloaded from the Dell WEB support site.

To download the drivers from Dell WEB site, select your model desktop or laptop, or a better option, type in the Service Tag number, this is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). The Service Tag will open the page where the drivers specific for your model computer/laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

How can i install windows xp in windows vista.if click install windows xp. setup cannot continue because the version of windows on your computer is newer than the version on cd

you cannot downgrade operating system. thats the number 1 rule. what you can do there is try to perform a clean install of windows XP if you still want to use windows XP. Boot the computer from CDROM. by pressing F12 key from the time you power on the computer. setback is, everything you installed in vista will be erased.

Downgrade 64 bit to 32 bit

Are you downgrading from 64bit Vista to 32bit Vista?

If so you will need to purchase the complete installation for 32bit Vista. You insert the disc into the computer, when it asks "press any key to boot CD" press any key, it will start the windows installation. Just continue through with everything. Be warned that this WILL erase all data off of the computer.

If you are trying to downgrade from Vista to XP you will need to find out if the manufacturer ever released drivers for XP for that model of computer. Most newer machines are not XP compatible anymore.

Lightscribe

You can get colored blank discs, but the Lightscribe only "prints" in shades of black. You will need to get Lightscribe compatible discs, which are just like "normal" cd's / dvd's with the exception of having a special coating on the one side.

You can visit Lightscribe's website for complete tutorials.
