Question about Kodak i 280 Path-Through Scanner
Hello, I have a Kodak i280 running in on a standalone XP machine, and all the scanner does now is give an error that says "Check the kds.log" file. When I check it, it gives me:
00008 123607420 kdsprot 4489 31 S5 SCSISCAN ImageCalibration(): 89
I can never get the machine to scan anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
ImageCalibration means the cameras don't get enough light during their self test.
Please check the following points:
Are both lamps on or one lamp in case you have a single page scanner?
Are the imaging guides (the clear sheets above the cameras) clean?
Are the little white tags on the imaging guides present?
One tag on each imaging guide.
Without this small white tags the cameras are not able to check themself.
For emergency you can apply a small white paper or white insulating tape instead of missing tags to test the scanner.
If the lamps are light, both tags are present please calibrate the scanner with the kodak calibration sheets. You will find the calibration menue in the scanner validation tool. You can get this tool from the Kodak home page.
