Panasonic Home Theatre SA HT 440. When I turn the machine on the error code F61 comes up and then it shuts itself off. When I consult the manual it says " check and corect the speaker cable connections". I'll do it on the weekend, has anybody tried this?

The F61 indicates a problem detected in the output amp stage and the unit us shutdown to prevent further damage. If you can supply the model number, I can give you the part required and the approximate cost.

Read your manual, it should tell you how to reset your system under troubleshooting. Try that before buying any parts or spending any excess money. I just reset mine after it was displaying F61 after about 10 seconds of being powered on and now it works like a charm.

Why my dvd players show error f 16.i aslo cant`t on my player and then the error dissappear.why?

Hello,
Are you sure you are not getting a code F61? I don't see in the manual a code f-16. It's says to "When a unit displays F61 - check and correct the speaker cable connections, If this does not fix the problem then consult the dealer." That is strait out of the manual for your theater system. I have uploaded a couple of diagrams to aid you with double checking your wiring. Should this not work then you must contact your dealer.
Regards,
Tont

I have the bd230 5.1 system hooked up the speakers, attached the power cord and hdmi cable from receiver to the tv what else do I need to get sound from my tv I have a hd cable.box do I need to run a cable...

The home theater box performs the production of the sound generation. Also, the theater box, distributes the sound to any display devices like TVs, Music MIxers, DVDR, VCRs, ext. The theater box also has connection ports that are recognisable as receptacle area from speakers, woofers, and twitters that combined to form the home theater of devices acquired. First, start by connecting the component parts of the theater system to the box. For example, speakers to an area on the box, twitters, woofers. At which point, the box would require a power cable to an electrican circuit to display functionality mode. The next step is deciding on which display reciver would be providing sound to the theater setup of blasters. For example, choosing to acquire sound from a TV set is achieved by connection cables that derived sound out of the TV to the theater box. E.G. The TV audio output area provides the connectivity of any external audio blasters like with the theater setup. Using the appropiate audio input output connection cables to acquire sound transfer matters. The device may not have been provided with a TV audio input out cable of connections. Acquire from retail input output cables from TV to theater boxes. Remember that, the theater box may have come with a remote control that require separe operations than the TV. The theater system theraafter would require power on buttons if any separate remote controls were acquired as well. Also, the television set would require alteration settings with the remote control. Adjusting the TV sound settings to acquire or direct internal sound to an external setup infrusture is possible explanation also achievable with TV REMOte controller soon after every wireing cables have been established alos powered on to source of current. HELLO

As far as I can know, F61 means your output IC is dead. Contact a service centre in your locality for repair!

Repeated F61 fault code on Panasonic Home cinema system Model: SC-HT990 Is it the fan in the sub woofer?

Hello

F 61 error means the failure of FAN
most probably dust in the fan made it to stop working so clean the dust and connect the fan to an external supply of 12v(using red and black wire) for 5 minutes and reconnect it to the unit otherwise replace the fan with new one.
Surely this will solve the problem.

Kind regards
Andrea

PROBLEM F61 ON MY EQUIPMENT AND SHUT DOWN

You possibly took out the output ic by crossing speaker wires or touch one to the case when the other was in the terminal. (turn off and unplug when moving speaker wires)

Before taking it in remove all wires unplug power cord wait 30 seconds and plug just the power cord and turn on. If it still goes to f61 it's going to most likely need the output ic replaced.
$70-90 labor and about $100 for the part.

Although the Panasonic Home Theater systems are great when they work properly. If your machine displays the "f61" error message, it's likely to be little more than a paper weight for the average person. The inner workings of the machine are rather complex to disassemble for diagnostics. And can take several hours to check all the components. The best advice I can give you is to sell the machine on e-bay as a broken item. If you offer shipping you can get more money for a complete system (speakers & all).

I was moving around my large woofer speaker last night and then all of a sudden the unit went into protection mode. I tried all the various solutions posted on here and nothing worked. Then I went back to my speaker connections on the woofer and unplugged them and plugged them in again and it seems to be ok now. Very annoying problem. Can I suggest unplugging all the speaker cables and replugging them back in. Also another solution may have been holding down the power button when powering up the unit. Give all the above a try.

System keeps shutting down

Code F61 can point to trouble in the audio output ic chip, are the loudspeakers connected correctly no short circuits. Also check that the cooling fan operates.
