Yes just use the booth out as your record out..... then you can use the booth volume as another recording level also......... if you need the booth and the master use the XLR master out for your master and then you can use the other RCA master out as you record out .................
hope this helps

How do I connect a laptop to record from a Soundcraft FX16ii mixer please?

Unfortunately there is no audio input on most laptops so you need another solution. You can use a simpler RCA to USB input like a Behringer U-Control USB Audio Interface (UCA222) but this will require you to make of buy a couple of 1/4" to RCA cables, watch the level though.
If you are looking for something more pro then I would suggest something like a BehringerU-PHORIA UMC204HD which has XLR inputs and is better suited for your mixer.
There are other companies that make audio to USB interfaces, M-Audio, Focusrite etc, but they are not cheap

What inputs do I use to connect my laptop to the gemini cdm 3700g?

if it's to record the Audio you need some kind of interface analog(RCA ) to usb like the behringer UCA 202 Now if it's to watch or to try to record Audio and Video you need to look at a video capture type of interface composite audio video to interface like the SIIG USB 2.0 Video Capture Device just make sure its compatible with your OS. Now if you try to use it as a Midi controller with program like Serato , Virtual dj ... you are out of luck this system is not compatible .
Good luck.

Recording from DMX 6fire distorted

try isolating the usb that you are using by removing all unnecessary items like extra headphones, cellphones, speakers, battery backup usb connection, you name it. More than likely the static is from that. or try a different usb port if you have removed these items
hope this helps

I want to connect a turntable (LP RECORDS) to my G550 in order to edit and transfer music to CD using Audacity. Can I ,for example, use a USB port?

There do exist turntables with a USB port.

Or, if your turntable just has the "post-and-ring" RED and WHITE stereo audio RCA-jacks, then you need an adapter to merge the two audio channels, and to connect to the "microphone-input" socket on your computer.

Then, tell Audacity to listen to that "microphone-input", and record from that source.

How to connect Marantz PMD201 to computer to convert tapes

You have an analog tape recorder, so you need an interface which will allow you to plug it into your computer. This kind of interface is sometimes referred to as a USB Audio Interface. I use a Tapco Link.USB, and it works well, but there are many out there to choose from - you can use something pretty simple, nothing fancy needed.
The interface will plug into your computer via USB cable, and then you will use RCA cables to plug the PMD201 into the interface. When you play the audio on the tape machine, you should be able to select the "USB interface" on your computer as your "input device" and record on the computer. Watch on the computer recording software for input levels (meters that show sound is coming in), and set them to appropriate levels, not too low, not too high (if there is a red zone, you want to flirt with it only on the highest levels) ... don't hit "zero" if your computer shows zero as the peak level for input.

Final Cut Pro is far to complicated for what you are talking about doing. Many computers come with software already installed that will make simple audio recordings like this.

Please feel free to visit my website, rexark.com, for more information on audio and recording, as well as audio presentation and PA systems.

Good Luck!

Use a male Twin Phono to 3.5mm stereo jack plug lead. The two phono connectors need to be male, so that they can plug into the red & white line sockets at the back of the DJM 500.
Are available in any audio products store.
