From 1-7 on the coffee grinder, which is the finest grind.I Hve misplaced my manual

Saeco Magic De Luxe Espresso Machine I have my grinder setting on 2 and the amount on the ++++ side but still have coarse ground coffe that's more like tea. I have cleaned and lubed the machine well including the grinder (cleanded all the grooves out with a toothbrush) but continue to have the problem. Close inspection reveals no obvious problems.

Hi,

If you take of the bean hopper and the adjustment pin, then you can turn the outer ring clockwise 4 step.

Check also that the ring not is loose.

Two weeks ago I paid > $100 for a full service (Saeco Magic Deluxe) and now the machine won't grind the coffee beans. Any suggestions so I can be a bit "knowledgable" if I need to take it...

Hi
If the grinder is spinning your grind set is too fine. Push the lever below the bean hopper to the back. It can go to a coarser setting anytime but the grinder has to be spinning to make it finer. They may not have set the grinder correctly. Have them walk you through the process. It also takes about 2 to 3 times before the grinder fills to work.

Fix Saeco Magic De Luxe Not Grinding problem

If you leave the machine for a while, the residual ground beans in the grinder stick and clog the grinder.
- thus "timing out" with the "No beans" light.

After taking apart the grinder and cleaning it out, it still didn't grind. -
Then we ran some ground beans through it a couple of times, and then put fresh whole beans on top of the preground, and it took.

Worked great after that.

My magic deluxe is grinding very coarse on number "1" grinder setting and the coffee is very weak; do you think the grinder blades are blunt? the machine is 13 years old.

Hi
Your grinder has seperated. The cork screw in the center is not centered. Grinder needs to be replaced. If you want one let me know.

First, have you tried adjusting the grinder to the finest setting, if yes and you still have the same problem the grinder needs adjustment, either the burrs are dull or the grinder needs to be set.

Saeco Magic de luxe not grinding beans

Try setting the grind to the coarsest setting, if you still have the same problem, check the wire connections to the board, it might have been reversed.

1 would be the finest. I wouldn't recommend going under 2 though.

You risk clogging your grinder and machine under 2. There's also a dosage control when you open the door on the side. + means a bigger dosage or puck.

Hope this helps.

Saeco magic de luxe cleaning grinder

I don't know what you mean by disarming the grinder. Unless you are talking about using the bypass. If that is the case there is a button on the panel that has waht looks like a scoop. Push that button and put a scoop in the bypass door and then push the button for what cup size you whant. Regarding the taste of the coffee. It may need a cleaning and service. Try googling "saeco repair" and find an authroized Saeco repair center and have a good service done on it.
