Question about Ricoh Office Equipment & Supplies
SC997 is an application error that seems to like to show itself on occasion, it's not considered serious. It tends to show up when scanning, and it basically means the copier couldn't do what you just asked it too. A hard power cycle clears it and in many cases it doesn't come back. I would ask your tech the next time he's out to update the firmware. The problem with that though is that your particular model uses the older flash cards to flash firmware and most techs don't have them or know how to use them.

That is the software defective code. I would recommend going to the manufacturers site and downloading the latest software for your scanner/printer. Remove the old software through add/remove programs then install the new software and you should be good to go. Hope this helps you....
