I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in playing other region disc in the RCA Portable DVD player. Please follow the below steps to unlock the region code and check the operation:

3. Select 'all' in the appearing list for region free
4. Turn the player off

Try the Sylvania codes. If none of those work you will need to resort to the trial and error method (code can range from 000 to 141).
