Yes it will.

The Microsoft Office Suites are designed to run on Vista. Many of the new improvements in the Suites are only available on Vista.

The problem is that Vista has not been proven yet as an operating system. But Microsoft has made it clear that it is going to stop supporting XP at some point in the future and is focusing all of the company's attention on improving Vista.

Good luck with your new laptop!

Ibought a new lap top in December 2009 and every time I try to use the home and student 2007 program it asks me for a product key. I have no idea where to find this Can you help

Hi,

Please let us know whether you purchased the laptop with pre-installed copy of Windows Home and Office 2007 software, i.e; the Windows Home and Office software was installed by the laptop vendor.

Usually, computer vendors install a 60-day trial version of the Windows Home and Office 2007. So, after the trial period is over, you will have to purchase the full version of the software.

Please reply to this post with more details. Thanks for using FixYa.

The software loaded on your laptop was most likely a 60 or 90 day trial from your manufacturer requiring you to purchase a full copy

Can't find product key microsoft office home and student 2007

The product on your laptop is most likely an evaluation copy for you to try out the features of the program. You would need to purchase a key from Microsoft. If somehow the laptop came with the full software, the key would be on the bottom of your laptop somewhere near your Vista key. But again, the software you are currently using is a demo.

Can't get Student version to auto-set up

There are a number of bugs with Vista and the later versions of Office (like 2007). Try running "setup.exe" from the Office disk and use great caution before installing SP1 for Office 2007 since the SP1 auto-install can cause problems with Vista.
