Hi I have a samsung captivate and it's half in Chinese and half in English and it dose not have text to swype or voice activation why

you can change the settings for the keyboard by going into the following menu: Settings>Locale and Text and then press on the "Select Input method" and then deselect swype as your keyboard.

you have downloaded chinese version of google chrome download english english version of google version , be sure to select language before downloading select english langugae

Go into my text messages and use the android keyboard, there is a little microphone at the bottom of the keyboard to the left of the spacebar. It allows you to talk into the phone and it converts your speech to text.

You should have google voice installed.
You should also go into the settings on the phone, clicked on text to speech, then clicked on "install voice data."

1. Go into texting/messaging app or anything that brings up the keyboard 2. Hold down on where the text shows up when you are typing 3. An option comes up saying Swype Keyboard, Samsung Keyboard and a few others. 4. Just click the Samsung Keyboard or another one and the Swype function goes away.

Assuming you already have Swype installed, you need to activate it first by going to Menu -> Settings, Language & Keyboard, then putting a check mark next to Swype (you will get a warning which you can disregard). Then go to a text field and long press the empty area (for example, long-press in the field where you would type in a SMS message), then hit Input Method. You should see a menu pop up, simply click Swype and you should be ready to go.

Hi, please make sure that you added the Message Centre Number in the Cellphone. You can get the message centre number by contacting Customer Care of the Network Carrier. Then, add the Message Centre number in the Message Settings of the Cellphone. Now you should be able to receive text messages.

• Press TOOLS (The spanner Icon in the bottom right corner of the screen which says WHERE TO and VIEW MAP

• Press LANGUAGE (the lips icon)
• This will take you to a page with 3 items. VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD.

If you need to change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English
If you need to change the voice language press VOICE and select a voice from an English speaking country. If you need to change the keyboard to english Press KEYBOARD and select English.

I know if the text is in Chinese you won't know which icon is which but by pressing each of them in turn you'll get to select English for each.

3. Press LANGUAGE (The lips symbol)

You will see a page with 3 items on it. VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
The voice symbol will have the speaker's name beside it. If the voice is in English it will show the name in English. If not press each icon in turn and change the voice to an English speaking voice.

This will leave only 2. Press each one in turn and change them to American English.

my garmin 255 shows chinese language. How i can change to english?
