Sounds like a HD problem run error correcting utility, and defrag the hard drive, cleaning the registry helps too.

also make sure you have shut off any virus program some dont like it when a program is being installed especially norton ineternet security.

check the disk make sure theres no scratches on the cd.

also bad memory will cause errors. try removing a chip from the computer and installing. ive notice when installing OS's like win xp if you have a bad memory chip it will not install.

Also you can try a different CD rom drive, the one you have could be failing.

Good luck

Problem installing office 2007.

Hi,

You need to uninstall any pre-release version of the Microsoft Office 2007 system .

it seems that if you have a version of the 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in or Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS installed, this may be the culprit. In both cases, by performing an uninstall on this add-in via the Control Panel, and then installing Expression Web, everything works okay. You can even re-install the Office 2007 add-in when you're done.

Goodluck,

MS Office 2007 Enterprise installation setup error

Hi, this may not help you because I do not have the exact error you described. But here is some text from the MS website:The installation of the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) fails with error 1935 or with error 78F. Office 2007 Install Problems

It can be very aggravating to reinstall Office; you probably need to use the free removal tool that Microsoft provides for situations like yours. It may have nothing to do with Office 2007 and everything to do with whatever else you added via Add/Remove Programs. My best advice is patience; Office12 is huge, and takes a long time to put all its junk in there; Microsoft will walk you through it if you have patience with their tech support folks and time to wait on hold to reach someone. The good news is they get paid to sit with frustrated folks like you. If you can be more sprcific what the error message(s) say(s) that will help whomever could help you get to the root cause of your issue(s).
