My iPod is not being recognized my iTunes or My Computer. I have tried my computer at home as well as work. I have also tried different USB cords to no avail. It also does not charge when I plug it into the wall. However, my iPod is recognized and plays music on my iPod stereo dock.

Apple Ipod isnt recognized on computer

You can only sync one ipod with one computer so if you put music on it already it will only work with the original computer you synced it with. Same with ANY ipod.

Try connecting this ipod to rear USB port on your desktop computer and then try this out

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step
