Intel 8280 1BA/BAM AC 97 Audio Controller 2447

I installed Windows XP Service Pack 3 and I lost my sound to my speakers. I installed the drivers through Windows installation wizard but I got error during installation.

    I have a ASUS P5VD2-MX Motherboard my sound was working fine untill I Iinstalled windows service pack 3 then my sound stoped working and when Iwanted to install the sounds drivers again it says drivers not supported by this opperating system I got the most up to date drivers and still it not working.

I have a nec vy16f/rf-r notebook. i have tried to install realtek ac 97 audio drivers but it still shows yellow marks !


if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question / exclamation? ! mark or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers or if you don't have a disk with the sound drivers you need download the drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

I NEED TO DOWNLOAD intel 82801eb ich5 ac 97 audio controller a 2 a 3 pci drivers. I INSTALLED A DRIVER BUT STILL NO SOUND COMING OUT OF MY PC. I THINK THIS IS THE BEST DESCRIPTION FOR MY AUDIO CONTROLLER,...


check the controller for possible cable lost or pin damage. If all the said items be check is good...you may possibly download the wrong driver specification...
Download again and see the compatible version of the driver...then proceed

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
if you dont have a motherboard disc you will have to download the drivers

Audio driver problem


that means your audio driver might have been already installed if not so just download the ac 97 audio driver from internet [ search "realtek ac97 driver" in google] nd install it... that will solve the prob
