I believe i am being charged exorbitant fees for connection of my propane tank. situation: I have propane for my range top. There is NO pilot on the range (we light the burners when the propane is turned...

How fast did the propane run out? If there was a leak (which would cause the propane tank to empty a lot faster than normal use) you would be able to smell it. You can check for leaks yourself using soapy water; apply soapy water to the connection and look for bubbles...bubbles means there is a leak...no bubbles means everything is good. I think you got ripped off but I won't know for sure unless you can tell how fast the propane ran out.

How do i light this gas grill, it is a charbroil quantum....it was borrowed from our friend, who is now not picking up the phone...

Checklist:
1-Make sure propane tank has propane in it.
2-Turn regulator (valve attached to propane tank) on.
3-Turn burner dials on, usually there is a "light" or "ignite" position to let the most gas flow to start. If there isn't, just turn it/them to high.
4-Listen for the hissing, if you hear some hissing from the grill, it has gas flow.
5-Turn the dials back off and give 3-5 minutes for gas to clear.
6-Turn dials back on and hit the igniter button.
That should do it! :)

My grill does not come up to the proper temperature. There is nothing that seems to restrict the gas flow. There is a sputter sounds so I think the gas feed is restricted. Can you help or suggest what may...

Check to see if the fuel hose is bent or kinked.
• Make sure the grill area is clear of dust.
• Make sure the burner and orifice are clean.
• Check for spiders and insects.
• The regulator has a safety device that restricts the flow of gas in the event of a leak. This safety device can be triggered without a gas leak. To reset the safety device, turn all burners "OFF" and close the Liquid Propane cylinder valve. Disconnect the regulator from the Liquid Propane cylinder and wait 1 minute. Reconnect the regulator to the Liquid Propane cylinder and slowly open the valve until the valve is fully open. Light all burners and observe the temperature.

The grill begins to heat up and stops. Only will

I believe you are out of propane. There is enough pressure to light the grill but as the liquid propane boils the temerature of the tank drops reducing pressure, and flame gose out.

Grill no longer producing good heat

read manual...possibly triggered propane safety bypass. Close tank, Turn OFF all burners, disconnect tank. Open one burner for 1 minute and turn off again. Reconnect tank. NOW OPEN tank slowly, all the way. Turn on first burner and ignite with starter or light through port hole manually. Hopefully works better.

The smoke will stop when whatever is on the brickettes is burned off. Leave the unit on high heat for about 10 minutes and it should clear it. If not, get replacement product.

Low flame/ side burner dosen't light

I just read this online and it worked for me. Hope you have similar luck.

Newer propane tanks contain a self regulating feature that will automatically slow down the flow of fuel if it thinks it's too high. This can be solved by turning the tank valve off completely and disconnecting it. Open the control valves (on the grill control panel) and ten close them. Reconnect the fuel tank and slowly turn on the valve. Now light the grill to see if that fixes it.
