I have mitsubishi vs-45501 Projection TV and periodically the picture goes, has good sound. I let it rest for a few days and then it comes back on, then picture goes away, wait a few days and it comes back, and so on and so on and so on. The picture shows well when it actually shows. Is something overheating? can it be fixed. help!

This is quite technical because I've suspect the faulty on the ff parts :

1. Tuner
2. If Transformer
3. Leaky Electrolytic capacitor
4. eeprom
5. system IC

I've advice you to send it to the qualified service center because there will be a series of test.
It is quite fixable. First ask a quotation on the shop how much money you are going to spend on service fee plus parts because the parts above are quite expensive.

If your unit is under warranty then avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.

Thanks for using fixya.
