I have a similar problem, but never damaged my phone. My N95 simply stopped 'recognising' my memory card one day. I really need the info on the card.

Meanwhile, my phone recognises a new memory card I bought afterwards. But its the original card (Nokia 1GB SD) that came with the phone thats got all the info on it! Help!

Plug the card into a card reader/writer and reformat the card. You will loose whatever is on it but the card will be like new.

hi,
the logical explanation for this would be the memory card slot of your phone is damaged, you could take it to a repairer to get it changed. make sure you provide full details of the above stated problem to them.
hope this helps.

Unlocking SD Memory Card of Nokia 2690

Nokia 2690 is a mobile phone made by Nokia Corporation. Nokia 2690 have 25 MB internal memory, microSD memory card slot with hot swapable. Many user faces problem in unlocking the password of SD memory card. As the SD memory card contains valuable data like songs, images, files, etc. To protect the SD memory card from the unauthorize use, its is protected by secure password or lock code. Some time the password gets forgotten or it gets blocked technically resulting in faliure to unlock the SD memory card. To unlock the SD memory card password you need the utility called FE Explorer. After installing the FE Explorer in the phone, insert the card in to the phone but do not access it. After running the FE Explorer open the path C:system. There is a file called mmcstore. Rename the mmcstore file to mmcstore.txt. Transfer the mmcstore.txt to the pc or laptop and open it in notepad. After opening the file there is a password to unlock the SD memory card of Nokia 2690. Using FE Explorer we can remove the password of other micro SD memory card like Kingston, SanDisk, Verbatim.

In my Nokia 5130c-2 mobile I've a 8GB Micro SD memory card. When I try to enter into Memory Card it tells Unknown File Format in Memory Card. Format Memory Card Yes/No? Every thing was going fine...

Put the SD card in a stand alone card reader, and copy the data off it to your computer. Next, format the SD card, and put it back in your phone.

My memory card is lock my mobile mode is nokia 2690

Hi there,

Whether you have a different mobile network provider, the only way to unlock your Sandisk memory card is sliding the small tab on the side of your memory card. Turn off your phone, take out the memory card and there you will see the small tab on the upper left.

Please let me know how this goes. Thank you for using FixYa.

Hey bro, im sorry to inform you that there is no way to recover your memory card without losing your data. But if you are fine with losing your data, then try this out.
Put your microSD in a nokia E-Series phone. I'll suggest the E-65. Now, go to the memory card in the TOOLS folder and select options, and choose FORMAT MEMORY CARD. It will ask you for your confirmation, press yes if you want to, and it will format your card and remove the password. I hope this works for you. Cheers ! I've tried it out. It does not ask you to put in the old password before formatting. It worked for me !
