ANTI THEIFT SYSTEM CAUSES CAR TO SHUT OFF AND WONT STAY RUNNING

There are no reset buttons for a factory security system.

I would start buy checking for fuel pressure and spark. There will be a test port for fuel pressure on the fuel rail. you should see around 35 psi. If there is none than check for power to the fuel pump. I suspect you will find a fuel issue.

ur anti theift system is on try unhooking the battery

The system MUST be reset by the dealer. They have to download info into the theft system module. No way around it. They use a handheld unit called a Tech 2 which, after you download the vehicles info, has to hooked to another computer mainframe, then info is downloaded to that and then taken back to the car. There is no bypass.

If the theft light is blinking very fast it does not recognize the key, will have to go to a ford dealer

your cars antitheft system is trying to prevent the car from being stolen so it is shutting it offf after it starts. go back over step by step you installation instructions make sure the ring around the ignition that comes with the remote starter is taped into the exact loacation it needs to be, or the cars own anti theft system will not notice it and will try to shut car off. its an anti theft feature. if this doesn't wotk you will not be able to use this remote starter. i ran into the same problem finally got it to work poperly.

try to start the car, than the anti theift would shut the car off. you wait ten min with the key on, until you see the anti theift flash or disapear. than turn key to off position and try to start it. this will reprogram the computer.. Good luck.

you can also try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes

TRY TO START CAR AGAIN

With the car RUNNING cut the yellow wire to the ignition switch from the group of three wires.
Make sure the car is RUNNING when the wire is cut.
Tape the ends and thats it.....the car will start first time from now on....as long as you don't mind not having anti theft.

THere are little boxes sold for remote starting on car alarms that you put a key into that will bypass the the anti- theift system
