HP Business Inkjet 2800 - A3 Problem

Hi,
Our HP2800 constantly jams when using lower A3 tray. Maybe a bit of paper in there but I cant see it. Any ideas, apart from a large mallet ?

Ours jams a lot as well, a quick search on the web shows that it's a common problem. One person suggested that using thicker paper seems to have cured it for them.

Separate the Tray 2, on tray2, u would c couple of while rollers.. check how do they roll and clean for any dust.. While rolling if u feel any friction or any of the rollers broken.., then u need to replace tray 2.

HI MY DESKJET 9800 WILLNOT FEED A3, IT JAMS ON THE LEFTHAND SIDE EVERY TIME, I HAVE LOOKED TO SEE IF ANYTHING IS OBSTRUCTING DUE TO BEING IN STORAGE FOR A WHILE. A4 FEEDS CORRECTLY, BUT CANNOT FIGURE OUT...

If A4 is ok but A3 jams then I would have to say there IS something hitting the paper. Try another A3 sheet and when it jams, pull the paper back out (after the printer is switched off) very slowly. When its out take a look at the leading edge and you will see a kink in the edge of the paper. Now place the paper back in the input tray and look at where the kink is in relation to the machine. That will tell you exactly where the obstruction is.

I hope you understand what i am trying to say.

Most probably the power supply has gone bad , and caused damage to the main board.
I don’t think this is worth the repair costs. Still working on it.

Something as simple as cleaning the print heads...

A bit of paper had jammed under the print heads and damaged them. The paper was removed and the print heads were replaced.

Thanks for the advice guys...

And NO - I don't want to pay for assistance!
