Mainboard error for install to win7 finalliting install

Hello the mainboards homepage is here:

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000576

From here you can download a manual.
You need at least 1gb of ram to install windows
And min.1,6 ghz cpu.
Is the windows disk an original or a copy ???
If a copy it may have be burned too fast.
Burn it not more than 4x or it will skip some files
and not be able to finalise the installation
I could also be the dvd drive.

Try also to enter the bios and set it back to factory settings
remember to set up the boot option again.
You also need a sata harddrive.
An IDE drive is too slow.

First boot device dvd
And second the harddrive

Good luck

Foxconn motherboard with no display and bios.

1. Try re-seating your ram, video card, other pci cards, and cpu.

2. Check that all the cables are plugged in correctly.

3. Take the cmos battery out for 30 seconds to reset the Bios.

4. Just because the motherboard is getting some power doesn't mean it's not faulty. Check to make sure your power supply is good with a psu tester like one of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=psu%20tester&bop=And&Order=REVIEWS&PageSize=20

If you do these things and your psu checks out to be good then your motherboard is dead.

How to update BIOS on Foxconn 945 7AD Series please?

You are hitting the wrong key... You need to hit the <Del> Key. Hit the delete key several times at startup not "alt+f".

My new video card Sapphire HD5770 is installed and now my pc will not post or boot, what can i do?

Make sure you have your card installed correctly in your PCIe slot, it should hook in. You also have to hook up power supply. This card requires minimum 450 watt power supply and 600 watt power supply if using crossfire and dual mode. If your system meets these requirements, and you have card seated properly and hooked to power supply. You may have to enter your bios and dedicate the PCIe slot. I'm guessing the system will boot without card.

Startup no beep, bios defective...how to replace bios then...

Hi,
you would usually flash/update the old bios, with the new bios via floppy disk drive, or cd if your motherboard supports it. if you go to the manufacturers web-site-support or downloads. you should be able to get the latest bios for the board. also read any notes on " flashing the bios " if the board won,t boot, you can,t damage it anymore than it already is. nothing to lose everything to gain.
if you have to send the board to be unsoldered/re-soldered very expensive usually.

if this information solves your problem, please rate as Fixya.

Many thanks for using the forums.

Repeated boot

I supposed you are using windows xp, put the Win XP cd in your cd drive and start your computer

boot on the cd drive, wait until the winxp finishes its copying

When asked if your want to install winxp or repair [R] choose repair by pressing R

wait till the command line and type: chkdsk /r

wiat until it finishes, it may take about 20 to 30 minutes..

reboot your pc

Foxconn P9657AB motherboard installation problem

You're Foxconn board uses the Award bios.
The long beeps you are hearing are telling you there is a problem with you're memory.
You're pic does not look like the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H MB as shown in the user manual. Found on This link.
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000297
The pic on Foxconn's site does but not the manual listed.
The motherboard uses four 240-pin slots with 1.8V for DDR2 memory only.
(Question? Did you're ECS MB use DDR2 memory)?
If you have more than 1 DIMM installed remove all but 1.
Move the DIMM into the closest slot next to the CPU.
Boot the PC & check for beeps. If still presant move the DIMM to the next slot & try again. Continue this through all four slots. Than try another DIMM. If the mother board continues to beep as mentioned than call Foxconn. (There is a bios update mentioned below for memory).
The CPU may come into question. (It’s revision). You may have to call Foxconn for this information. (580-272-0035). They do not place this information in their user manual. Most users have to call. The rev of the CPU may conflick with the memory causing you to receive the bios beeps. (I have had to return 2 boards for this reason). I picked an Asus board over Foxconn.
I have come across this with Foxconn motherboards these past two years. Suggest you update you’re bios. Foxconn has a revision dated, 3-28-2008 for memory before you call. After bios update test the memory again for beeps. Still there? Return the board is my suggestion.
It’s a guess that the red led will go away after the memory issue has been addressed. Normally there is a green led on most motherboards. This means standby. The board has power connected. I could not find any reference in the user manual * .pdf, for R450.

Good Luck ninjo61!

No boot up or bios or image after installing the new mother board, Mr Bogdan

Brand new board? Unlikely to have a problem. Are you sure you connected the small 4 pin power supply connector to the motherboard as well? (besides the main supply connector)

If you have any IDE drives make sure you have not reversed the orientation of the cable.

Regards,

Anand
