I need another replacement part - I ordered one 5 years ago from the soyo e store, but that link no longer works. The part needed is the plastic base that attaches to the motherboard - it is a box that surrounds the cpu, and the cpu fan clips on to it. Intermittent booting is probably due to bad capacitors on the mobo ( as long as you are sure the PSU is working). Failing capacitors manifest themselves usually by showing leakage or bulging. If you can locate any replacements, you could resolder them..

As to the replacement board, I have only seen one in the last year for sale on Ebay (tonight) and that was broken. Soyo went out of business a few years ago.. or were taken over..

I did the same thing. Order parts at thegourmetdepotco.com -- This problem is caused when you put the rubber gasket underneath the blade instead of above it. This causes two problems: 1. It lifts the teeth on the jar away from the teeth on the drive gear, which can grind down and break off the teeth, and 2. If the drive gear contacts the rubber gasket, it will melt the rim of the drive gear. In the future, to reassemble the jar after cleaning, first put the rubber gasket on the jar, then the blade, lastly screw on the base ring.

Mine also cracked along the seam several years ago. I sealed the crack using two-part waterproof plastic epoxy (found at any hardware store.) Not really pretty to look at, but it hasn't leaked since!
