How to CHARGE CORDLESS DRILL

First, you should know your battery is a Ni-CD / NI-Mh or Li-ion battery. If it is a Ni-CD / NI-Mh battery, please fully discharged and fully charged it to prevent "Memory effect".

If it is a Li-ion battery, please charge it before you use it.

Please keep in mind that, please fully charge a battery when you store it. And, charge it again every two months.

If your old battery is dead, you can replace it with a new one. Ryobi Power Tool Battery

I have a makita 6391D cordless drill with 18v ni-cd 1.3ah batteries, just had one battery and charger stolen so have to buy replacements is there any way i can convert it now to lithium batteries if

I can't find a Makita model 6391D drill but they do have a model 6390D drill that takes the 18V Ni-Cd pod battery. The tools and radio don't care what type of battery you use, only that they are 18V. However, to date, Makita does not make a Li-Ion, pod battery. All of their Li-Ion batteries are the slide-on type. Your options for that 18V tool is the 2.6ah Ni-MH battery (PN 193159-1 for a single or 194158-6 for a twin pack), the 2.0ah (PN 192827-3) and 1.3ah (PN 194107-3) Ni-Cd batteries.

How long should a fully charge battery last on WG250E Hedge Trimmer

This is the info i found on WG250 battery . It says up to 50 min below in the features. Hope it helps

Battery
The WORX WG250 hedge trimmer incorporates an 18-volt 1.7 Ah Ni-Cd battery pack. You can use this battery pack with other WORX Ni-CD PowerShare tools. The included charger takes about an hour to restore a dead battery to full charge.

Need to replace battery back-up pack. Have any

Oh wow. You have an old timer there. I think they used a rechargeable 3.6Volt pack so you should be able to use any old rechargeable nickel cadmium or nickel metal hydride 3,6V battery such as out of a cordless phone. try a local electronics shop.

Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse, I replaced the li-ion battery with a NiMh AAA battery pack, soldered in the board that was on the old battery and used it for a week before the battery pack needed...

Li-Ion battery and NiMh battery have completely different charging requirements! Li-Ion battery has much stricter charging requirement and the regulator is normally design to trickle charge at 0.1 Current rating @ 4.2V and then completely shut down.
WARNING: if you use a Ni-Mh charger on a Li-Ion battery, then it will erupt and even explode and catch fire!
Bottom line is that the rescued Li-ion regulator is not designed for your Ni-Mh pack and you will never get a full charge with it and you will need a completely different regulator board: you are better off putting in a suitably sized Li-Ion battery with inbuilt regulator but with higher current rating if possible.
Hope it helps! Let me know how you go.
