Quite often this is due to a bad door switch. Opening the door while cooking (without first hitting the STOP button) is the primary cause of door switch failure. You can visit my Web site at _ or e-mail at _ if you'd like more in information on diagnosing and repairing this problem.

High voltage parts are suspect. Need to put a voltmeter on the
input (primary) side to the high-voltage transformer (big heavy iron
thing in there) Should be getting 120Vac when it goes to cook
cycle. Don't touch the other (high voltage) side of this
transformer. If the power is there, you are looking at replacing
high-voltage capacitor and diode. If that doesn't solve it, then
it needs a new magnatron. Its affordable if you do it yourself - buy
the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"
Hope ya fix it!

If the screen is showing a fault number or a number you havent seen before then its probably a program fault which can't be fixed. Check that the vent holes on the back of the oven aren't dirty and ensure that the whole oven is clean inside. Sadly it sounds like a program fault which cant usually be fixed by the owner though.
Finding a Panasonic oven repairer in the UK shouldnt be a problem though. My parents had a simlar problem wth their Panasonic Inverter oven, called the UK customer services and Panasonic contacted an authorised repairer in Scotland to visit them. Call customer services on 0844 844 3868.
If the call out charge exceeds £80 then you're probably better off buying a new oven.

If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.
You can order Panasonic parts from Tritronics.
If you reconsider, you can find an authorized Panasonic servicer here.
