Re: cabelas big game hunter for wii
While Nintendo Wii games are not region-coded, the hardware itself is made in both NTSC and PAL formats. In order for a video game to function with your Wii, it would need to be in the same format as your Wii console. This unfortunately means that video games purchased from NTSC compliant countries, such as the U.S., will not function with the PAL consoles sold in Australia.

Your problem could be that the disks you are running may be unknown or fake or maybe it's because your wii's regional code is different from the games regional code i.e. Your wii is from Australia and your games are from America. So if you got your wii from your current country that you live in and say you had some friends in another country who bought these games for you then they will not work on your wii. It is rather upsetting I do agree. I hope this works and you feel better.
If your wii is not a ntsc released wii the game wont work. At least I dont think I know most game systems have certain regions. If thats not the case its probably scratches on the game or the game is defected.
this happens to u since u got the xbox at one place and game from another place..u try to get the code from your friends and try to put it or u try in your friends console so that it is easy to find out the problem is with what..u can also try this site to solve the problem
No, the American Ps2 game will not load on Australian one because in Australia the TV system mode is PAL and the in America its NTSC standard. You can't load any game until your Ps2 is modded. You can buy a modulator than can convert PAL to NTSC and vice versa.
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another
disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either
Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be
repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that
will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives
information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems
Reference Fix Guide
One of two things has probably happened and is the case 9 out of 10 times. Your drive may have gone bad either due to a chip failure or a laser failure. It's also possible if the unit has gotten hot that the connection to the drive isn't making good connection anymore. This happens a lot. To fix it you would have to open the unit up. I don't recommend this if you have never worked on consoles or other electronics before. If the unit is under warrenty send it in for repair. Otherwise you would have to pay for the repairs. You can also sell the unit as broken on ebay and generally recover quite a lot of your money.
If you are good with repairs of electronics you may choose to open it up and do some troubleshooting. There are several places on the internet that outline how to open the wii and how to troubleshoot it's problems. If you decide to go this route you will void any warrenty you might have. However sometimes this is about the only solution people have without spending money for Nintendo to fix it.
