Question about Cell Phones

Nokia 1650 phone

My phone battery went flat, I recharged it as per usual, and first it came up with "test mode" on the screen, and now it does nothing at all.
The phone is about a month old, and this is making me grumpy!

Just get a new battery or throw the phone out....

You can try resetting the phone to the default factory settings....but it's not worth the headache..the phones resale value is about $ cheers

P.S. I know because I had one.... chucked it in the bin..

hello there!

As per to your statement, the circuitry of your mobile phone (nokia) is no longer working even if the battery is inserted. Even if its dried already and you did all the necessary action. You have to consider that the circuitry is dead. You may try to bring your mobile unit to a Nokia Care Center near you to assess the matter. You may check if the warraty is covered with your purchase.

My phone recently fell down but when i switch it on it was okay then i wanted to change the sim card and i switched it off,it didnt go on,all it displayed was test mode then after afew hours, local mode on...

If the phone was locked in various networks ,the test mode is an error message witch usually happens when you try home brew devices to unlock it for more than once or this could mean that you used a public phone card to open it,from witch the error results!

Sir,my display light can't working?m handset no is nokia 1650

Sometimes the backlit gets loose. If there is no light and no image on screen, then you may need to take phone to an electronics store for LCD screen replacement. If there is image, but no light, then:
  1. Power off phone
  2. Remove back cover
  3. Remove battery
  4. Remove SIM
  5. Using a little flat head screwdriver, unlock and remove the frontal cover of the phone.
  6. There are six Torx screwdrivers inside. It's head looks like this:
  1. f85360e.jpgThen use a Torx screwdriver for removing them. If you haven't one, a small triangular file, or a swiss knife will do the job.
  2. After so, remove the back plate of your phone.
  3. Remove the 4 Torx screwdrivers wich hold the screen in place.
  4. Remove the screen.
  5. Clean the contactoes between screen and phone.
  6. Reinstall screen in place.
  7. Repeat steps in inverse order to reassembly the phone.
  8. Power on phone. If light stills refusing to work, then take your phone to an electronics store.
