This is the most user un-friendly clock radio i have ever owned. I can never get the alarm or nap turned off and it get turned on too easily - like when it's being dusted. The cancel button doesn't turn it off. I'm ready to throw it away, unless i can get a manual somewhere.

I have a similar problem: I can set the time and cancel the time for my alarm. However, there seems to be a second "alarm" that goes off (conveniently) at 12 am every night. This I cannot seem to change. Every night all I can do is hit the off button, but there is no way to change

How do you cancel the alarm?

1 Answer

Press the Cancel button. While the wake mode LED is blinking (either alarm or radio) press the Wake Mode button. The wake mode LED should now be off. To turn off the Nap function before the alarm sounds, press and hold the Nap button for 3-5 seconds. The Nap LED should stop blinking and be off.

If you are talking about an aftermarket alarm system you will most likely need to either get ahold of the place that originally installed it, or another stereo/ vehicle security shop to have your issue looked at. Most dealerships refuse to work on not factory issues, and most mechanic shops are not electronics experts.

My fridge and freezer stopped working. Nothing's running. It doesn't cool or freeze. None of the mechanical parts are working. Only the lightbulb turns on. What can be wrong?

if removing the mother board made no difference to the fridge operation then it would be logical that the mother board is faulty
These machines do not like power surges( can originate many miles away)
have a technician check it out

There should be an option during initial set up that allows you to disable the alarm function. You may have to disconnect power, then apply power again to repeat set up.

I would need to model number to check if you have a on/off for you over temp alarm. That "Buzzer" is a over temp alarm. If you fridge uses a 9volt battery then you might need to replace the battery. Please post your model number.

How to turn off alarm on GE radio Model 7-4853c

The manual says to "DISABLE THE ALARM PERMANENTLY" you should:

"Press and hold WAKE 1 or WAKE 2 until the green indicator disappears."

I did this and the light indicator to the right of the clock digital readout went out after a few seconds. I won't know until tomorrow if the alarm is permanently disabled.

Need manual for Travel Companion Model S1500 Alarm Clock

Travel alarm clocks can have varying instructions, depending on the type of clock you are using. Here are some tips for use that will apply to any alarm clock.

  1. Power source
    • Travel alarm clocks will need to have some sort of power source. Depending on the type of alarm clock, it might be battery-powered or it might have a cord that needs to be plugged in. Battery-powered alarm clocks can take mini watch batteries, AAA batteries or sometimes AA batteries. Travel alarm clocks, because of their tiny size, usually have the small batteries that need to be bought from a watch store or a dollar store. Before you leave, make sure you have a working power source and can turn it on.
    Changing the time
    • After you reach your final destination, power the alarm clock on. Now you'll need to set the time and date correctly. Check a watch, cell phone or television to get the exact time and locate the buttons or dials on your alarm clock. On some, there will be a "time" or an "hour" button you need to press and hold to activate the alarm time change. While you are holding it down, turn the dial, press the hour button or press the (+) button until you notice a time change. On others, simply pressing the hour or minute button will let you change the time shown.
    Setting AM/PM
    • The AM/PM option is critical in setting your alarm clock correctly. Make sure the LCD display on your clock has a light beside the correct AM or PM setting, or look for the letters AM or PM on the display. If you get this wrong, the alarm won't go off in the morning!
    Setting alarm time
    • To set the alarm time, look for a button or a switch that says alarm. If there is a switch, move it to the alarm setting. If it is a button, you'll need to hold it down until the time starts flashing, signaling time to change the hours and minutes to the desired alarm time, or hold it down while you press the hours and minutes buttons to reach the alarm time you want.
    Turn alarm on
    • Now double-check that your regular and alarm times are correct by switching the switch back and forth again, or by pressing the alarm/time buttons long enough to read the time set. There should be a picture of a bell somewhere on your LCD display showing that the alarm is set to "on." If there isn't, look for the on/off alarm button and move it to the correct position.
    Music options
    • The last step is finding the alarm wake-up option. Not all travel alarm clocks have this option, but if yours does there will be a switch or button that lets you choose to wake up by a buzzer, the radio, a CD, or another device.

How do i disable the security alarm?

Serouly. If it's the same as my '05 Stratus R/T then look at where the doors shuts on the interior trim and look for a activator that stays closed when you shut the door. open it and unplug it. There you go. No more alarm set off when you open your door.
