I use a USB cable to connect my 3005 series HP printer. The problem is that my computer is not finding it out. previously it use to. i use lenovo computer thinkcenter 57M with XP OS.I re-installed the driver and tried but it was of no use.please find me a solution.

Most probably you have either a defective USB cable, or the USB port on the computer is not working properly. To separate the cause of the problem, first try to use another working USB cable to connect the printer to the computer & see if this works.
This problem occurred when I used a four port hub to connect the USB cable. I tried connecting the printer straight to one of the USB ports on the computer. Items which wouldn't print properly previously are now printing OK. Problem solved!
