I know this is a bit late but i had the same issues with my unit. turns out if you listen with the source volume really low the headphones cant detect sound so they shut off. you fix this by simply adding more volume from the source and then just decrease volume on the actual headphones to obtain desired listening level and say goodbye to this issue.

The check engine light come on while driving my 1990 Buick Park Avenue and goes off for 20 seconds each time I press the brake pedal? This is continuous. Light comes on, press brake light goes off

the hiss sound is a failed brake booster allowing air into the engine on brake application
the engine light is recording this change it air /fuel mixture and will stay on until the vacuum has been restored and the air /fuel mixture is again correct
replace the brake booster

Continuous green light at GP-2000 and hissing sound from speaker

Have you adjusted squelch threshold. Green light indicated signal received with noise, squelch will adjust the threshold so light goes off except when a stronger signal is detected.

2000 Chevy K3500 No Breaks. Bled breaks, not losing fluid, ABS and break lights on. Hydraulic booster system. makes hissing sound when breaks applied???

I think I would get the body computer scanned for trouble codes and find out why the ABS warning light is on first.
The hissing noise usually means the booster is leaking vac but if the booster was faulty the brake pedal would be hard to push.

2001 ford escape makes a hissing and high pitched squealing sound when the brake pedal is released?

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

My mazda 6 is idling and shuts off, and there is a hissing sound coming from the engine you can hear it just can't find where. This all started when the hissing began. I found 3 hoses cracked and I...

You still got a vacume leak, best chk. all your vacume hoses paying close attention to the one that goes to your break booster, it also could be an intake gasget, You can chk. that by spraying a little WD-40 around the intake and vacume lines while its running if it reves up than thats where your leak is, not a whole lot you don't want to start a fire.

Air around break petal

It sounds as though the diaphragm on your vacuum assist has ruptured. This will cause a hissing sound and less brake you may also notice a change in the engine idle speed or a rough idle until the hissing stops.

Green Power light blinks but no picture or sound with a chirping noise

That chirp is your ballast trying to fire the lamp. Sounds to me like you need a new lamp. The model should be TY-LA1000. Keep in mind though that the ballast could also be faulty, but 85% of the time it's a lamp. Pull the cover off the unit and remove the lamp. More often than not, when the lamp goes it'll actually break and be obvious.
