Sony kp51ws510 convergance problem

yes these ic could be defective depending on how serious de misconvergence is if it is very serious it could be the ic's or it could also be a
digital board witch control the whole convergence. On the other end if it is slighly off course it can be ajust easely

The KP51WS510 has the two STK392-560 ICs on the D board ( Brown Board laying flat on the left side) you will see the large heat sinks with the fins on it. The ICs are mounted to the heatsinks. In that model you will need to check the 6 Pico fuses right next to the heat sinks, and there are also 2 additional pico fuses on the G board ( where power cord plugs into) that will also need to be checked.

Replace convergence IC STK392-560 and also check 3.15A picofuses. Goodluck! :)

Thats caused by a convergence failure. The Sony type 1 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually correct that issue the kit contains the components and the CD with repair instructions so you can repair yourself.

convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

You need to replace the convergence IC, They start with STK make sdure you get original stk IC's and not cheap china made or aftermarket parts as they will not lasts long in your set. if you pay less then 15 bucks for your IC that really is no bargain cause it is most likely an aftermarket IC

NO the I.C.( convergance chips) need to
be replaced . And its actualey not that
hard . If you have some soldering skills
plus the chips are cheap ,10.00-20.00 etch

its failure of Convergence Out IC chip and requires replacement.
TV has 2 IC chip in convergence circuit and I would recommend to replace both at same time.
