My Coby MP3 player WILL NOT play my audio tracks in order. I have tried to reorder the files numerically and alphabetically, but the player randomly plays tracks out of order. I'm also using the player for audio books so I don't know if this may be the problem. Can anybody please offer some assistance. Thanks in advance.

If the track name contains a space or punctuation at the begining it will change where the track appears. If you used a program like ID3 TagIT (free download) it would automatically check and rename the songs, it will also add missing info like artist or album.
While playing a song, press the Quick Options Menu button (small circle), you will see an option for "REPEAT", choose from:
No Repeat Play tracks in normal order and
One Play the current track repeatedly.
All Play all tracks repeatedly.
RandomAll Play all tracks in random order.
Dir Normal Repeat all tracks in the current
Dir Rep Repeat all tracks in all folders.
Dir Random Play folders in random order.
VERSION 9 OF WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER CANNOT SYNC FILES, YOU MAY NEED TO DOWNLOAD A NEW DRIVER FROM THE WEBSITE...TRY DRAG AND DROP
GO TO MY COMPUTER FIND YOUR DEVICE AND DRAG AND DROP....YOUR PLAYER MAY NOT PLAY THE SONG IF YOU DO NOT HAVE "ID3" TAGS, TO ADD THEM, LEFT CLICK ON THE SONG AND CLICK PROPERTIES THEN CLICK THE DETAILS TAB AND THEN CLICK ADVANCED <IF NEEDED>, JUST TYPE IN THE INFORMATION
Here's how I resolved the Play-Order Problem with my TH1101A using Windows Exporer: 1. I put every file (MP3 and WMA) in one folder on my computer. 2. I renamed the files 001.mp3, 002.mp3, etc in the order I want them to play. 3. On the FOLDER, Right click - Properties - Customize Tab 4. In dropdown, change to "Documents (for any file type), click Apply 5. General Tab, "Advanced..." button - UNcheck "For fast searching, allow Indexing..." 6. then click "OK" "Apply" "OK" to exit folder properties. 7. In explorer, all the files in the right pane should be sorted by name in proper order. 8. Copy the files to the Pearl. This worked for me, but of course, I can't guarantee anything.
