Re: battery + battery cover issue.
I had a look at your phone and its sorta old now so you could buy a new battery and cover for about 25 dollars or the best thing would be to buy a newer phone as there so cheap these days the battery on yours has expanded because you have had it for 4 yrs of charging, being in the sun, usage all those reasons
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

First place it on a charger for a full day, allowing it to gain a full battery, when done try to boot your device, try connecting it with your computer to see if it is not just the screen that is broken/black. Also check the actual battery, while this can easily catch corrosion on the surface connecting with your phone, or get dispositioned.
I hope this helped you!
Make sure you turn your phone off before you remove the battery. There is 2 torx head screws, 1 on either side of the charger socket on the end of your phone. Remove these, you then slide the back cover up slightly to remove the back cover. You then have to remove 1 phillips screw which holds the battery connector, be careful as there is a small metal guard under the battery connector which could fall out without you noticing. You then prise the battery connector up with something plastic to avoid shorting out the battery. The obvious sign that your battery needs replacing is when the battery status goes down to 12 or 10 percent and the battery dies before getting down to single figures.
Have you tried resetting it? To do so, turn off the phone, take off the back cover, take out the battery & leave it for a minute or so. Put the battery back inside, cover back on and power it back on. See if this corrects the issue. If it doesn't, then I would advise speaking with your carrier and/or Samsung directly to pursue alternative options.
hi, once you have the back cover off and the battery out their should be 6 screws, 3 either side 1 at the top, middle and bottom, they will either be black or silver screws, well their not exactly screws their a small star shaped screw so you need a special torque bit screw driver to undo them or get a really good fitting flat bladed one and try using one of those, but dont mash the head up to much ele you will never get them out.
You cant try this...get a bowl of dry rice, put the phone in and cover it up, leave the phone in for 48 hrs. Dont touch it.
Sounds like there is remaining moisture. if this doesnt resolve the issue you will need a new phone
If you look at the back of the phone you will find the back cover with some sort of rough surface. this is the cover of battery compartment.
Push the back cover from the top of the phone, and remove it. If your phone is brand new. then insert the sim card first, before putting the battery.
Now place the battery in the battery compartment making sure that the terminals on the battery are aligned with that of the phone.
Replace the cover.
Charge the battery.
It seems the phone fell from you or you hit the phone surface with a hard surface for your screen to be malfunctioning because it is possible that the screen is not firmed to the panel any longer and you will need to affirm it.
Get a torx6 screw driver.
First thing you need to do is to power off your, remove the baattery, and sim card, Turn the phone over and gently remove the front cover.
After you have pull off the front cover, you can go on with the torx6 screw driver to tighten all the screws that hold the screen of your phone to its panel very well and recouple the front cover back.
Put your sim card and battery to power on, with this it should stop the pale screen.
You should see about getting a new back cover. Try ebay, they run only a few dollars.
It sounds like you battery is coming loose a bit. Without the back cover snapped in tightly, there is a bit of room for movement for the battery. so when you snap it closed, the battery pops up of the contacts. If you know any one else that has a razor, try their cover to make sure.
Step 1. Take off back cover and remove battery and sim card.
Step 2. Remove the six screws holding on the back cover
Step 3. Get a thin piece of metal and pry off back piece of the main phone unit
Step 4. Once you get the back piece off you can see a green unit at the top of phone. This is the camera, all you do is pull on it and it should unclip
Step 5. Once the camera is removed you can see 4 more screws, unscrew these
Step 6. Now that the screws are out you can pull off the main board. The first thing you need to do is unclip the black ribbon that is at the top. Then you have to unlip the clip on all four corners, after you do this the main board will come out.
Step 7. Now That you have that off there are 2 screws on the back thats you must unscrew.
Step 8. With the screws gone you can now pull the slider away from the piece that has the number pad on it.
Step 9. On the back of the slider there are 6 screw you must unscrew. The Two screws at the top have small black circles glued on-top of them. Just wedge something under the black peices and they will come off
Step 10. Now that the screws are out you can pry off the plastic LCD screen cover from the metal slider piece.
Step 11. After the LCD screen cover is gone you must unscrew 2 screws to the left and right of the joystick. After you remove the screws the joystick cover comes off.
Step 12. Now that you have the cover off you need to turn the plate where the joystick is on over and pull out of the LCD screen clip
Step 13. After you do this you can now put in the replacement and put the phone back together
