is there paper behind the draws/ remove it. Remove the paper from the left side of the paper draw IT IS NOT A STORAGE AREA its for 11x17 paper. If not then bad tray lift motor or worse case control board$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Remove the 2nd draw and ensure no paper behind it, THEN REMOVE ALL PAPER IN THE DRAW ON THE LEFT SIDE IT IS NOT A STORAGE AREA!!!! IT is use for 11 x 17 paper, or you have a burned out motor worse case a burned out motor that took the main control board that controls the motor also.

Pull out the cassette and check the paper capacity not to exceed the maximium level. Clear any irregular or untidy paper if any.
