Question about HP Computers & Internet
You could try calling HP again asking for the tech support dept. Tell them your situation and ask them if they can offer you the default factory password (backdoor password). Also try surfing for backdoor passwords for your make and model pc. You could remove the cmos and hope there isn't a tpm chip which stores passwords on your board.

Try the old password, the new one (again), and no password (blank field) and make sure to reboot in between attempts.
Please explain "Creating password recovery disk", unless you just meant "Recovery Disk Set"?
Post your results so that we may be able to offer more advice.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
