1993 honda accord doesnt have a serpantine belt, it has a v-belt system. that is the altenator belt and powersteering belt (both belts run multiple pulley of course). my recomendation is to buy a chiltons repair manual-or haynes-as the proper tightening bolts and locking bolts may be confusing to an inexperienced person.
ALTENATOR: loosen the altenator mounting nut/bolt and through-bolts, turn the adjusting nut until there is enough room to wrap the belt around the proper pullys and tighten with adjusting bolts until proper tension is reached. tighten the mounting nut/bolt and through-bolts to 33ft lbs tq
POWER STEERING: loosen the pump through-bolt and nut. turn the adjusting bolt until there is enough room to wrap the belt around the proper pulleys and tighten the adjusting bolt until proper tension is reached. use 33ft lbs tq on through bolt and nut.
ALWAYS ENSURE PROPER TENSION IS AQUIRED- NOT TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE, AND ALWAYS RUN ENGINE AND TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN AS NECESSARY.
check tensionperiodicaly to ensure proper opperation
