Well, sure you have to record each track separately, but to activate AUTO-PAUSE you go into your SET-UP menu.

When all else fails read the directions.

Your cd player is fubar and in definite need of replacement.
Tape unit seems to have a mind of its won. Try to reset the electronics to factory defaults. If that has no remedy, since it is a sony< best advise is to trash it. Repair cost is prohibitively expensive.

You've recorded a track. You hit Stop. You want to capture more of the conversation in the room, so you FORGET to hit New Track, and instead push the record button. Which resets the already-recorded...

Yes, it's gone.

This is the one glaring fault with the 9600, if you select a previously-recorded track, and hit 'record', and then 'play', there's no failsafe, or 'are you sure?' prompt to remind you that there's already content within that track.

If you select the track, and ONLY hit 'record', putting the machine into record standby, but don't hit 'play' to start recording, your previous content is saved when you hit 'stop' - record standby doesn't overwrite anything.

CD playing erratic

Run a "Laser Lens Cleaner" thru the unit a couple times. Use one that takes fluid, you can find them at just about any retail store for 15-20. If that doesn't solve it, it needs to be repaired. At that point weigh the cost over replacement. A new transport usually will cost 100-150 on average for parts and labor. Hope this helps

Nokia n73i

from what i understand, your problem is:
"you can play only one song at a time"

solution: you need to make a track list. to do so,
1) goto gallery -> tracks,
2) select options (left button) -> new track list -> mem card/phone
3) give it a name -> selct the tracks you want to include in it

play the track list instead of each track and your problem is solved
