I have the exact same white lines problem, I used to be able to flex the engine board a tad and they would disappear... this got harder and harder... makes sense with the chip solder issues... Two questions for anyone:
    Where to get parts\service manual?
Why would I also replace the DMD in addition to the main board as the one guest reply suggests?

What does the DMD board of a Infocus 61md10 look like als know as the RCA hd61thw263. tv

I hope you are still under warranty. This is usually a problem with the main DLP chip seating properly on the board. I have rarely been able to correct this without getting a new engine board and DMD (digital mirror device).

What causes white vertical lines on dlp projector?

Possible fault on the mother board as there are noise on the LCD display. You might need help to sort this out if the fault does not clear even after the lamp works for some times.

I have white vertical lines on the screen. I purchased a new bulb, still happens. Both with DVD and Cable.

you can reseat the main board to the light engine, if that doesn't fix it then the main board or engine needs to be replaced.

Thin black vertical lines about 100mm apart, all the way across the the sreen exept for the first quarter of the screen whether there is a signal or not.

first reset the settings to factory default. if the lines persist, replace the power cord and plug it into a different outlet to make sure there is a proper ground. if they are still there, you have a main board issue.

My Infocus ScreenPlay 7205 has vertical lines throughout the whole picture when in use. Only about 1300 hours on the unit.

This could be an issue with the projector but here are some possible other causes.
1. make sure the wires running to the unit are not by any power source or other elctronic devices as this can cause interference.
2. use a differrent input source to check if the lines remain. (cable/satellite, dvd player, camcorder). if it does than it is most likely the projector.
hope this helps

White vertical lines in image w/ 2 inch black bar horizontal.

the black bar is from the light tunnel collapsing. the white lines are from the colorwheel or the main board has a cold solder joint. replace the tunnel and colorwheel and have the main board looked at.
