Subs wont play music

Sounds like your RCA's are the source of your problem. Unplug your RCA's before you turn your car on. You may need to isolate your RCA's and the ground wire on the back of your head unit.

Why does my KAC-8404 cut off at high volume bass?

amp 101

1/0 wire to the amp or the amps will loose power

check the connections mainly the negative

wiggle the wires see if you get a cut out or not

a cap will help you give constant power to the amp and not allow them to drain on long bass notes

hope this helps

Kenwood amp kac-x401m

How long will the bass play before the amp kicks into protection mode and how loud are you listening to it? I've noticed with my amps that if they don't have enough air flow they will get hot and kick into protection mode. They will also kick into protection mode if you are running it at more than it can handle. Check your adjustments on both your amp and the head unit. Make sure you are not running more bass than the amp can handle.

Amp keeps kicking off? Power Protector?

as long as your powers and grounds are good(make very sure your ground is ok) then either you have a intermittent short in one of the subs or the amp is getting ready to die lol.. The sony amps are notorious for faulure-the quality is just not there... Is the amp really hot??? the only other thing you coudl try is to ass a fan or two in it or around it and see if that helps it out..
