Question about Cross Infoguard Shredder SX102M

Broken gear I've taken the machine apart, removed one of the metal gears that has broken teeth & turned it around. I have everything working again but I can hear the part where the a couple teeth are completely gone. It's working but isn't going to last as long as I'd like without a new gear. Does anyone have a replacement gear? It's the one second from the motor on the hex-shaped shaft. del

Lower rotor of my nano hercules helicopter is not turning

I have the nano hercules and I had the same problem. The lower rotor would spin funny or not at all. Upon taking apart the heli (there really isnt too many pieces, just a lot of little screws so keep track of them), i found the culprit to be a tiny white gear with teeth had broken and the larger spinning gear was barely making a connection to the small teeth on the small gear (excuse my lack of technical vocabulary). I was able to remove the motor, slide the small gear w small teeth down just a tad so the big gear and the small gear lined up, added a bit of modelling glue for support and it works like new again. Hope that helps!

I would be inclined to replace the broken/worn gear and only any other bearings/bushes that show wear, which is probably none. I would remove any contaminated grease (it usually remains close to the failure point) and add more grease if necessary. The gear is a fuse gear and designed weaker to fail if the machine is overloaded so the gear that runs on it is unlikely to be damaged.

I bought my son an old fashioned hot dog roller for Christmas. It worked great the first time and the second time he went to use it, the rollers wouldn't roll. I've read several reviews on this product...

The 5 rollers are operated by 9 small gears that a run by the center gear which is turned by the motor on your machine. The gears in between the rollers help drive the next roller as you move outward from the center. The gears are made of what looks like pot metal, (cheap junk). The teeth break on the gears easily and either stick or won't operate the next roller. You can take the unite apart using a thin screw driver an pry the 6 flange on the drive side and straigten the flange with needle nose plyers. It then prys apart. If any teeth are broken, you can only buy a whole new grill part from Nostalgia Electrics. Cost is 20.00. They won't just sell the junk gears

Peg perego gator hpx gear slippage

Look carefully at each of the gears. Take them apart and I bet some of the teeth are sheared off. Order new gearboxes should fix the problem. This happened to us.

The left side will not ingauge the right side works properly. I have taken it apart and checked and can't find the reason please advise.

I have a Craftsman self-propelled lawn mover on which the right-side front wheel will not turn when the belt is engaged. I removed the wheel and found that the plastic gear teeth on the inside diameter of the wheel were worn down. The metal gear on the shaft is still in good shape. This has happened before, and the fix was to replace the wheel.

Loud grinding noise when paper is feeding through machine

Mine was indeed a gear problem. Took off the top cover and poked around. Found two areas that may have caused the grinding.
1. The lower roller shaft had slid to the left out of it's groove. By removing the handset cradle (3 release tabs are accessed underneath the toner hatch.) I could loosen the "gear box" (a black contraption with all the gears inside) and then snug the bottom roller into proper position.
2. I removed the "gear box" to look around. Don't know if I dislodged one of the gears while doing so, but noticed one was dislodged ;-)
This required opening up the gear box by removing 2 screws and lifting off the motor. Then i could get at a gear that had come loose from a claw sort of piece. Note: the teeth of the loose gear needed to be on the motor side when sliding it back into the claw thingy. It seems to use a metal clip for friction control and perhaps proper spacing.

I noticed "some" wearing of gears, but doubt this is an issue. This machine has been used VERY hard for years and now, just by re-aligning things, it works once again.

My googling barely found any mention of troubleshooting this machine, so I shudder to think what finding parts would be like.

Royal SC800 power shredder I need the large metal gear.

I have the SC800 apart. My problem is not fixing it. I just need the part. The large gear which appears to be made of pewter has a couple of teeth missing. If I could find the part I can fix it. It's a very simple machine. If you know where I can get the part I would appreciate you letting me know..

Sincerely;
Ken Ashley
