SOURCE: can't control pressure on victor oxygen regulator

One gage is fixed for tank volume the other is variable for you to set for process. if the variable gage dose not work you may have a bad diofram. You could purchase replacement repair parts at your welding supply store.

How do I install the pressure regulator on oil pump on a 2005 Buick lacrosse cxs

Engine oil pumps are designed to provide a sufficient amount of oil pressure needed for proper lubrication at idle speed. When the accelerator pedal is pressed and RPMs are raised, the oil pump spins faster which generates too much oil pressure. This condition is counteracted by the use of an integrated oil pressure relief valve. The oil pressure relief valve limits the maximum oil pressure by bleeding pressurized oil back to the inlet side of the pump. Mechanically, this is accomplished when the oil pressure pushes against the relief valve's plunger and overcomes the calibrated spring tension revealing the relief port. When installing the relief valve components it's important to assemble them in the correct order otherwise the spring will not compress properly resulting in inadequate pressure bleed-off. The correct order is as follows: plunger, spring, retaining cap and retaining spring. If the plunger is designed in such a way that the spring fits inside of it, ensure this recessed area faces the spring rather than the oil pump housing. Air compressor won't automatically cut off with selected pressure is reached. Keeps going until emergency value is released

You probably have a faulty pressure regulator. Try turning back the regulator valve to lower the cut-off pressure and see if that stops the compressor. If it doesn't, it's probably the regulator. Hope this helps.

POP OFF VAVLE ON HEAD KEEPS POPPING UP

The over-pressure relief valve may be defective if the valve is opening before the desired tank pressure is reached. If not, then the shut-off pressure adjustment (if there is one) may be set wrong. You'll need to find out from the manufacturer exactly what static tank pressure the compressor is designed to provide and then determine if it is working correctly. If so, then the relief valve might be defective. DO NOT attempt to defeat the relief valve under any circumstances - it can result in compressor damage or a dangerous tank failure.

My compressor is building to much pressure and blowing out the relief valve. what do I check

You didn't give the model of your compressor so, for an electric model: Check your gages while the tanks are filling. If the pressure gets to the rated high pressure level for your model and keeps going until the relief valve pops, the problem is with the pressure switch. It isn't turning the motor off when it's supposed to. If the relief valve pops before getting to the max pressure the tanks are supposed to be at then the spring in the valve is broken or weakened to where it pops too early. Replace the relief valve.

I can't adjust these gauges. How do I do it?

The only part of the gauge that adjust is the tee handle in the middle. the gauge on the left tells you the line pressure to the torch, the gauge on the right tells how much oxygen is in the bottle, usually on a K bottle it is 1800 to 2000 lbs. if you turn the tee handle and the left gauge that tells line pressure does not respond you probably have a bad diaphragm in the gauge. Seek qualified repair man. Thanks
