My Suzuki Boulevard keeps blowing the ignition 15 amp fuse shortly after replacing it.

Hi, Greg gotta love that first name your left turns are definitely a clue to a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short in your case I would jump right to the ignition switch. 15 amp fuse blows and no running lights. What's wrong?

Hi Anonymous, you have a hard/dead short that should be easy to find generally they are the easiest. Time to get out your test light and connect it to the power side of the, circuit breaker or the blown fuse receiver, start by tracking the out bound wire towards the ignition switch and beyond if necessary, when the test light quits lighting you are very close to your short. 1999 cadillic catera only blowing cold air on passerger side of car

there is actuators that open the vent doors for both sides of the car and they get stripped out .every time you turn the car on they close and re open 2 the last setting when its turned back on so they are used alot. With the knowledge of what was wrong but no clue where they were it took 2 of us 8hrs to find and remove them, we just tied the vent doors open because the whole dash would need 2 come out 2 fix properly, the one you are looking 4 is behind the radio near the floor on the passenger side, Keep in mind I had 3 that were bad so it shouldn't take as long 2 do 1

Hyundai sante fe 2001 V6.. I replaced the heater controls (as there was a problem causing fuses to blow when you turned the fan control on), So thats problem 1 solved, Now.. When i turn the key it...

No I think there is something else on the circuit which is bad, and you replaced the wrong thing. In other words the heater controls were not blowing the fuse and the fuse box is doing its protection job, at least was until you melted it from putting the wrong fuses in it. Adventures such as this show why it sometimes saves time and money to simply pay someone who knows what they are doing to do it right the first time. Electrical systems today are so complex that someone with all the info and tools at had is required to fix them.

On the back of the panel you will find one side of the fuse is connected to 12 volts, the other side has some connectors, or has one connector wire which takes the 12V to a set of connections. You have to disconnect each of those connections, one at a time, and replace the fuse until you find the one which actually has the component which is drawing too much current for the fuse. Then you either live without that component or go buy another one.

Washing machine fuse blows every couple of washes

the machine is pulling to much power.check to see if it is on a 15 or 20 amp outlet. you said you replaced the fuse. the amp size should be on it. if it is a 15 amp fuse, plug the machine into a 20 amp circuit and see if the fuse blows then. it shouldn't since it wasn't blowing everytime on the 15 amp circuit, but never put a 20 amp fuse in a 15 amp socket! the fuse can handle the load[ no pun intended], but the electrical wire would burn not blowing the fuse, thus causing a fire.
hope this helps.
