MY PROSCAN TV WAS WORKING FINE THE OTHER NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING IT REFUSE TO COME ON- YOU HEAR IT CLICK ON AND AUTOMATICALLY CLICKS OFF- YOU ONLY HEAR THE SOUND IT MAKES WHEN IT TURNS ON AND OFF BUT NO PICTURE.

    they need to find the shorted parts or leak thats why your oscillation is not normal functioning...

Chances are there is something shorted on the horizontal circuit or the secondary side of the flyback. Check for shorted diodes or horizontal output transistor. Proscan TVs are usually pretty reliable,well worth repairing in most cases.

New Proscan 40 goes to green screen when using HDMI cables


I have the same problem with a 40" Toshiba LCD, Component cables work fine with FIOS but not HMDI, goes in and out then blank. HDMI with DVD player works fine. Best buy reported this same problem from users with this toshiba lcd but no solution.

Sounds like a capacitor on the power supply is bad. Easy fix.

It sounds like U have a bad power control board on your tv set. Your tv set got "the click of death," and needs to be serviced.

Toshiba 56hm66 New lamp worked last night, wont boot up again


You now have a defective lamp ballast board. It sometimes is the root cause of lamp failures in these sets. The problem here is that Toshiba does not sell the ballast board independently from the larger, more expensive light engine assy. Call Best Buy back and get a servicer out there. He may have to take the ballast board out of your TV and send it out for rebuilding.
