Question about LG LSC26905TT Side by Side Refrigerator
I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on yesterday. When I got home, i removed the piping from my old refrigerator, and installed it on the new one. To check to see if it was working i opened the water line to check for flow (the refrigerator was not plugged in.) The pipes fluttered so i assumed it was on. I plugged in the refrigerator and then i checked the dispenser. It didnt work. After about 1 hour of troubleshooting, I opened the refrigerator and pressed the button and water came from where my water filter should be (none actually reaches the dispenser.) I contacted LG and they said that water shouldnt come from there, even if there is no filter. While I was troubleshooting, i checked the water feed tubing under the door, and discovered that no water was flowing through. I decided to just give it a rest, and see if the ice maker would work today (the manual said to allow 12 hours for icemaking), but it didnt. I dont think its the electrical system, because the light works, and buttons light up. And i do hear noises when i try the water and ice dispensers.
Fridge disconnected from water and reconnected after a couple of weeks.
No water, ice or crushed ice dispensed.
No water getting to dispenser/cooler/freezer despite adequate water pressure to back of fridge
Since this is a brand new unit, I wouldn't waste the time or money troubleshooting it yourself; contact the place you purchased it from and exchange it.

you have to take apart the complete ice maker from inside the freezer as it has to be cleaned on a regular basis to operate properly. check with your owners manual, it tells you how to clean it.the ice cube shoot is the first to freeze up & block your flow of ice. it's not hard to do. all the best.

Check the back side of frige (from the inside) where the solenoid is, to make sure it is disengauged.....on mine it was stuck down, causing the crusher to work all of the time... hope this helps.
