Hi, I've got a saeco odea giro plus. 3 weeks old, the descaling ight came on. I followed descaling steps in manual. rinsed off brew group and place it back in unit. now the system will prime, grind, I hear it go to the next step, the pump comes on to start brewing the coffee and the pump starts to make a different sound (lower volume sound) and no coffee comes out. it will then show the red light that it's lost the prime. any ideas - is something plugged? If so can I disassemble unit and not void he warranty? thanks in advance. I miss my home latte's

Hello,
Look at the brewing group where the top strainer is. The small holes are blocked with coffee. The water can not pass through them.
You will need to unfold the two screws at the top and then remove the strainer, grow and clean it and clean it if the holes are blocked.
Do this only

SOURCE: Red alarm light permanently on!

Hi.
First turnthe machine on.
Then take out everything watertank, dreg draw and brewingunit and have the door opened to the brewing area.

have them out for about 1 minute and then put it back together again.
if this dosent help please check if the machine respond to removing the dregdraw, beanlid.

It will do it by making the constant red ligth flash instead.

if they respond make sure that the watertank is filled to max.
if that is the case it is the watertank sensor that is broken.

SOURCE: machine stoppped working

Try this remove the brew unit and clean the screen on the unit, then insert unit, and open steam/hot water valve to prime. If that does not work then there might be a malfunction with the pump, I am assuming that the machine is only 2 weeks old?

SOURCE: I Have descaled my Saeco Odea Go but still it doesnt brew coffee

That is serious, that means the grinder is jammed or not working. To check the components of the machine follow these instructions.
Press and hold the steam button and turn on the machine, when you see the lights going around in anticlockwise direction, release the button. Turn the coffee dial to the left and press the steam button, the grinder should turn. Dial on the right and pressing coffee ****. water pump runs. Press steam ****. brew group go up, dial 1/4 to left B/Group down.
If grinder not turning the motor is bad. Hope it will help to find out.

Why are the used grinding pads on my saeco odeo giro very loose and watery

I can personally confirm this fix from another similar question works: "I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough, it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount." My manual didn't have very good info about lubricating the brew group, so I referred to some Youtube videos demonstrating the methods. A sourced a 3rd party food safe lubricant from Amazon which I applied with Q-tips, but in retrospect they also sell Saeco "maintenance kits" which would have been cheaper & easier to apply, plus it includes a new O-ring.

We have an Odea Giro in the office. When we got it I remember the coffee tasted amazing. After few months the taste started to decline and after some time we stopped to use it altogether. I wanted to...

you are supposed to go through the "before first use" instructions....which include filling the resevoir with water and brewing only water until its all gone. then start using the machine normally...remembering that the machine takes a few brew cycles to adjust properly to the coffee being used (this assuming this is the giro plus model which has the feature-"aroma something or other...)

also, descaling would help and removing the brew group and rinsing it out...

Hi, I have a saeco odea giro plus that has just started to leak nearly all of the brewed coffee into the dreg drawer! Any ideas? thanks in advance...

I had a crack in the tube that connected to the brew group that resulted in a similar dumping of coffee in the dregs (and below the dreg drawer and onto the counter) in my Saeco Odea Giro. Replacing the "Saeco Odea Giro Coffee Dispensing Tube, part number 11003468, fixed my problem. You can replace this yourself if you are very handy. These photos are very helpful (The Go seems pretty similar to the Giro.) http://odeago.zxq.net/Odea_Go_Repair/Welcome.html

Brew Group will not reset

Hi Neil,

Try to put the dregsbox and driptray on place, close the door and turn on the machine.
When the machine stop again, open the door and put the brewing unit on place.

Best regards
