Pick-up procedure I've already bought an item online, but i'm ready to pick it up. What kind of pick-up procedure do I have to follow?

Whenever you place an order through our website, you will want to make sure that you first receive an e-mail confirmation that your order could be filled before stopping into your local store. Once you've gotten that e-mail, you will need to bring with you the following things:

* Your order number (this will appear within your order confirmation e-mail.

* Your driver's license or another valid photo I.D.

* The credit card you used to make the online purchase.

The reason why you'll need your credit card with you is because you aren't officially charged for your order until you pick the products up at your local Best Buy™ store. As such, the credit card holder will need to be there in person to provide us with their signature. If you placed your order using only gift cards however, you should only need to bring your order number and a valid photo I.D.

Additionally, if the store offers a lower sale price than our website on any product you ordered, you will automatically be provided with the lower on-site sale price.

Sounds like the brush is stuck. When that happens the belt continues to run, quickly burning up. Take the brush out and clean both ends(bearings) and check that something is keeping the brush from turning. It's a fifteen minute procedure, and to save time pick up a belt or three (usually come 2+ in a bag) and you'll be ready.

You realy need to contact the company you purchased the item from. If it is a computer, most of the stores will allow you to return the pruchase for 15 days with a 15% restock fee. Posting in these forums will not get anyone to come pick up your item and accept it for return. This forum is for the troubleshooting and repair of items.

Again your best bet is to talk to the place you purchased the item from to get it returned.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC14. The knob you're describing is the brush control, which turns the brushbar on when set to 'Carpets', and off when set to 'Hard floors'. The machine may not pick up hair from carpets if you have it set to 'Hard Floors'.

The brush control system is also designed to make a ratcheting sound to warn you if something is jamming the brushbar. The easiest way to check for and remove any obstructions is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

There's no suction power

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC08. If it's not picking up as well as usual, there may be a blockage in the machine, and the filter may need a wash.

The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

My NEW Dyson won't pick up lint that sits on the top of the carpet. When I stoop down to pick it up it's not stuck and lifts easily. Why doesn't the brush scoop it up?

Does not pick up .brushes not turning,

Please note the brushbar will never rotate when the cleaner is standing in the upright position, or if you've used the brush control switch next to the on/off switch to turn the brushbar off. The brushbar is also designed to cut out if it becomes tangled with a rug fringe, etc.

Go to start>Dellsupport>dell support center and have all of your paperwork ready from where you bought it or serial numbers from the bottom of you pc..follow the online instructions.. because you have to register for support. Dell doesn't automatically update their computers. You have to manually do it. You will go to the site and it will let you know which one to pick. There are several kinds and types but....if you call them they WILL charge you to do it. If you have your manual it will give you step by step to do this. Do you have the manual? If not reply back and I will find it for you.

How to get online

You need some kind of wireless internet card that can pick up signal from anywhere, unless there is a wireless internet connection nearby that you can pick up.
