No netflix my blueray is connected to the router but the router isnt picking up the internet and the internet is on and everything ejse picks it up

If other web functions happen, then it's not a router issue it's a blueray issue. This sounds really familiar. I think I too had this prob. I hard wired the player just like my tower and left the wi fi to broadcast wife's laptop and Tab. I also remember having to do some data entry that the blueray required, ie Uverse numbers. Some blueray get you tube Can you? Can you get anything web-ish on bluray? Consider these questions. If nothing internet related can be accessed on player, and you know it is capable, then possibly the (I use bright yellow) the ethernet RJ46 swap around, even try the same ethernet cable to your tower. does it get internet like previous? Your router have enabler switches for each port? mine doesn't. Does a laptop get a good web connection via wi fi? can you get Netflix on your Tower? how about Netflix on your routered laptop? try this path of thinking and happy trouble shooting warrior......

Windows7 is compatible with d-link 2640U OR NOT

As far as i know I have not found any problems.
The router's wireless settings do not affect Windows 7, you may have trouble with the wireless card driver in your computer with Windows 7.

The back of the tower and of Linksyd

The single slot is where you connect your cable modem by use of ethernet (cat-5/6 cable). the other 4 act like a switch (basically plug your computer into those IF the router isn't a wireless router. IF it is, only use the single and only for the line coming from your cable modem.

Your DHCP server is either disabled or have not enough room for anymore computers. set the number of ips to "more" than what you need ie 3 or 4.

Hi I live in Australia and have brought D-link dir-300 Wireless G router 1st off I have on screen D-link Quick router setup Quick router set has discovered that you are already connected to a router...

Dlink routers are fairly easy to set up most of the time, I've used several of them over the years. What the heck is this tower you keep speaking of? Is it a second computer or is it THE computer for your desktop monitor. Your explanation leaves a lot to be desired. I've never seen a commercial router that stands up like a tower computer and if you have one, it is probably a pretty expensive unit, so we must clarify and completely understand what you are talking about. You indicate that removing power and cables from the tower would disable your monitor and that makes it sound like the tower IS your computer. Does that make sense to you, it does to me.

Generally routers can be configured using a web browser. But first we need the manual for the router to know what we are doing. Using the router link below look on your router and try to match the model numbers in red on the left under wireless with your router. If that does not work try matching with the contents of the select a product drop down list box in the top center of the window.

Router link

Second -- assuming this router is had a previous owner or was used in another location we need to get access to the router.

If the router currently does not work with your current ISP as indicated you may want to reset the router using instructions from the manual -- reply to this message if you need help.

If you believe the router may contain useful information we need to try to get the router's IP address.

Assuming your computer runs windows XP try this. --

Connect the computer to the LAN (not WAN) portion of the router -- this is probably 4 consecutive ports to plug cables into. Power up both the computer and the router (not connection to the internet required.

Click on Start
then All Programs
then Accessories
then Command Prompt
type -- ipconfig -- (8 letters) and press enter.

Report the resulting display of one or more adapters, ip addresses, subnet masks and default gateways here Iand I will help with the next step.

If you can provide a web link to your ISP's help site -- we will probably be able to conffigure the router for your use with your ISP.

Thanks
