Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
Here is a link for the error codes on calypso, in most cases it is a blown fuse on the motor control board so I would first check that. Hope this is helpful and please remember to rate this solution.

I had the same code + motor and pump did not work. I run couple of tests as described in service manual that is attached to the inside of front panel and I have detected that there was no 120 voltage going out from control board to the motor board. I have removed the control board and I have noticed that rely on the board is not soldered properly (high current line). I have re-soldered rely and my washer is back in business. Even if rely was bad - the price for it (T9AS1D12-12) is about $3 and seems to be easy to replace with some minimal skills (and soldering gun). The price for a new board is about $130 at Sears parts department. I think I save at least $300 for service call.
BTW. Many people had problems with this washer - but for me it worked just fine for 8 year with fairly heavy usage. It is nicely built and on board diagnostic is very good. So if you have some mechanical/electrical skill it is good to try service procedures before calling service.
