Kodak 5300 won't print black.did several printhead cleanings, put in new black cartridge.

    Kodak 5300 quit printing in black. Called support as recommended and after running some diagnostics, will be sending me a new printer head and ink. Service was good as a rep picked up virtually on the first ring...

    prints black very ,very faintly and only less than 1/2 the line. Not too good. I am talking the advice of previous poster and calling customer service.I have cleaned, recalibrated, and replaced black cartridge to no avail...BobL.

    My Kodak 5300 won't print black. It prints in color, but not in black. I have changed the ink cartridges and I have cleaned the print heads to the point that I don't want to waste anymore ink. Can someone help me please?

    had same problem called kodak toll free/ got printer head free/on going problem with the 5300s this is my 3 rd one/will not get another kodak

    My 5300 AIO printer simply will not print anthing that has black.

    No emails, no simple text....Nuttin' in black.

    What can I do to fix this issue?

Call customer support at Kodak 1-800-421-6699. Tell them your problem and they will send you a replacement printerhead and new ink too!

I have had the same problem. This seems ot be a common issue with this printer. None of the local office supply stores carry printheads, you have to get them from kodak.

My KodakEasy Share 5300 will not print in black.

Issue that its not printing black and deep clean and removing the printhead and reinstalling the printhead (reseating printhead) is already done and still no black when printing. The printhead should be replace. For futher assistance call 1 800 421 6699 Kodak AiO printer support line

Kindly reseat the cartridges 2 times and then close the access door .Click on Menu on the printer and scroll down and choose Clean printhead and select "deep cleaning"
Print a demo sheet after the cleaning process has been completed. If ur issue persists, Call Kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace printhead of the printer free of cost..
Printhead is the part which takes the ink out from the cartridges. Probably the printhead of the printer has gone bad.

Replace the printhead. call kodak at 1.800.421.6699 for a free new one, with FREE ink, too.

At first would pring in oolor only with faded


Do several printhead cleaning via the printer menu and make a test print. Mostly printhead cleanings solve the issue.

try to remove and install again the ink cartridges and after that perform printhead cleaning again if still prints the same call kodak aio hotline 1 800 421 6699 you might need a replacement printhead..

Kodak 5300 printer


Here are the things you will be asked to try if you call support. They may fix the problems as well. Taking the printhead out and putting it back in is the big helper.

Remove the black and color ink cartridges.
Right above where the black ink cartridge was, in the top left hand corner of the printhead, push up towards the ceiling and you should be able to push a button that releases the printhead.
Place the printhead right back into the printer and push straight back on the back wall.
You should hear a loud snap.
Replace the ink cartridges which should snap as well.
Close the printer.
After about a minute or so the printer will ask you to do a calibration.
Insert a paper and press start.
Scan the calibration sheet.
After that, in the menu, do a printhead clean.
(If this is a 5100, do it in the home center ->? in the top right ->Maintainence ->Clean Printhead.)
Do one basic and one deep.
Print a demo sheet to see if anything has changed.
If the picture looks better, continue to do cleans.
In the event that it does not, the printhead will need to be replaced and since the printer is still under warranty, Kodak specialists will try to overnight you a printhead.
The whole process is short and free.

Black ink non-printing

Black won't print


will print blank? try to do this, remove the cartridge and the printhead, put it back again. perform a deep clean by press menu>clean printhead>deep clean
print a demo sheet by pressing menu>print demo sheet
if it fails then contact kodak..

Kodak 5300 not printing colors


Kodak told me to take the printhead off and reseat it several times, which I did. I then deep cleaned it, calibrated it, and replaced the color cartridge. It didn't solve the problem. Kodak will replace the printhead for free, and after I return the defective one, will send me a free color and black cartridge. Very nice service. I've been very happy with the 5300.
