Acer aspire t 180 cant get pc to recognize digital camera photo memory card

Has the computer recognized the memory card in the past? If so, try download and reinstalling the memory card driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Card Reader drivers.

If after installing the drivers the reader still does not work, you can purchase a multi format card reader that will plug into you usb port from Tiger Direct for less than $15. at

http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just put in the search at the top "SD Card Reader or XD Card Reader" depending you your type and press GO. You can sort the returned results by Price Low to High.

Do you have a USB Cable that came with the camera that you can plug into one of the usb ports on the computer? If so, try that. It's another way of getting pictures off the camera. Plug the cable on the camera and into the computer then turn the camera on. The computer will recognize the camera and install the drivers. You can navigate through the camera folders just like you do any other device to find the pictures.

Lost connection from computer to camera

Sounds like the camera is shutting off because of a bad battery. Make sure the cables between the camera and computer are in good.

You can always purchase a card reader for under $20 that will allow you to take the SD Card out of the camera and put it into the reader that plugs into the computers usb port.

How do i download pictures from a verizon lg cellphone

There are a number of ways to do it. 1) you can use a cable that plugs into the camera and the other end of the cable plugs into the usb port of the computer. Most camera's come with this cable, if not it's a pretty common cable to purchase for less than $10.00. Once you plug it into both the camera and the computer, turn the camera on and the computer will recognize the usb camera device. You'll have to navigate to where your pictures are but that should be easy just open the folders until you find them. 2) you can buy a usb card reader than handles different types of cards. Remove the card from the camera and place it in the card reader device. Once again your computer will recognize the usb card reader and you can navigate thru the folders to find your pictures. 3) You can email them to yourself then go to the computer and open your emails and save the pictures.

I would like to download pics from a digital camera to my computer but the computer is old. I see no port for digital card

Do you have the CD that came with your digital camera?

IF so, put it in your optical drive, and install the software.
This CD contains the drivers for your camera.
Drivers allow your computer to 'communicate' with you camera.

Now obtain the correct USB connector that plugs into your camera. Should be a male Micro, style of USB male plug,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USB_types_2.jpg

The plug all the way to the left in the photo.

They sell USB cables that have this style of male USB plug on one end, and the usual USB A style on the other end of the cable.

Male. The male USB A style, is shown all the way to the right in the photo.

Looking at the usual style of USB plug, compare it's size to the Micro USB plug.

Yes, the female version of that plug is on your phone.

There is also a kit made by Philips, that has 5 different adapter ends of the USB style, in the kit.

The adapter ends just plug onto a male USB A style end.
The kit comes with a Male A USB to Male A USB cable.
It's rolled up on a tiny reel that is about 1 inch wide, and is retractable.
You just grab the ends of the cable, and pull out the length of cable you need.

This gives you an idea of what I'm referring to,

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Emerge-Tech-Retractable-USB-2.0-A-Male-to-A-Female-Cable/12575359

With the software from your camera installed on your computer, and the USB cable plugged from your camera to your computer, you are able to download.

Some camera's have it so you turn the camera on, and open the shutter. Your camera may differ. Check your camera user guide.

Another way is to buy an All-In-One card reader.
Plug a USB cable into it, and your computer.

This is an example,

I put my memory card in printer, pressed the memory card button, and i see the pictures on the screen on printer. how do i upload them into the computer

There should be a program that came with the printer that will let you off load them onto your PC. Also, check on the printer for a button that will allow you to upload the pictures. If not then the camera came should have come with a USB cable that you can directly upload the pics to your PC. Hope that helps. Please leave feedback.

I have a canon zr600 digital video camcorder and am trying to put the video from it onto my laptop. I am connecting the usb cable from it to my laptop and only still pictures will transfer not video. ???

what program are you trying to use? what format is the camera saving it in? when connecting have you tried just transfering the files by going through my computer and then the camera to the video and just copy it to your files. instead of letting the program you are using modify it.

I dont know how to download pictures from the samera to my somputer

Most cameras come with a USB cable. There are two methods to downloading pictures. Connect your USB cable (supplied with the camera) to the computer and turn on the camera.
0723f7d.jpg
In this example, the camera is a Lumix DMC-LZ3. Here (RED CIRCLE), is the USB connector. Connect one end of the supplied cable to this plug and the other end to the back (sometimes front) of the computer (most have 4 USB ports)
1b1abd1.jpg
as shown here (back).

When you turn on the camera, it may display "FOUND NEW HARDWARE" or it may just display this screen:
953523d.jpg
When you open it up, it should show you a directory. You can then right click on that directory and click on SEND TO, MY DOCUMENTS. It will put a folder there and you can then proceed to edit it, give it a name (rename that is) and so forth.

The other way would be to purchase a card reader, hook it up to your system (Most of the time, drivers won't be needed) and remove the card from the camera and insert it into the card reader. This way the screen will automatically pop up, and you can view the pictures as if it were another drive on your system. From there, it's all up to you.

The other way would be to use the included software to access your camera via the USB port and have the program do the transfering for you. What you do is load the software that came with the camera, reboot if asked, launch the included software, plug in the USB cable first to your camera, then to the PC (computer) and turn on the camera. The software should do the rest.
